It’s That Time Of The Year Again When Metals Investors Look To The Golden Triangle

This interview was recorded yesterday afternoon but I forgot to hit the post button… Brien Lundin and I focus on the time of year we are in for metals companies and the large amount of news flow that will be hitting that markets in the coming 2 weeks. It is also the time of year when companies exploring up north are sorting out their programs and getting drills on the ground. We focus on the golden triangle and some of the companies Brien is watching closely this year.

    Ex, do you own Abra?

Yes I own ABRA AbraPlata and it didn’t hurt my feelings that it was up 17% today 😉

Matt, do you own other than PM-stocks?

    • On February 18, 2020 at 11:21 am,
      Matthew says:

My miners are almost completely gold-silver focused. I have a little exposure to base metals but none to uranium right now.

I was thinking maybe biotech, industrials, FAANG-stocks or something other than PM:s?

I came across APTO, they´re developing cancer cures and have a medicin against KOL which seem to be great.
I chickened out at USD6 and now its at 8,33

I’m not interested in the FAANGs right now but have some exposure through some boring mutual funds. The risk-reward in conventional stocks is not good so I don’t see the point in giving them much of my attention.
I think TSLA has been running on short covering for months but I don’t mind missing the move since there has never been a good reason to own it other than technical for active trading purposes.
You can risk a lot less to make a lot more when the wind is at your back in the miners.

Yep, EQX has been in beast mode for some time.

Who’s next up to bat in the mid-tiers?

      Sold some of my Leagold

All my silver stocks did great today with the exception of USAS. Looks like just a pull back after last week. I bought some more Brixton this morning. Glad I did. Hopefully there is still time to accumulate that one before a firm breakout takes hold.

    • On February 18, 2020 at 8:39 pm,
      Excelsior says:

Yes sir. Most of the Silver stocks were in the green today, although there were a few exceptions. Overall very constructive action from the Silver miners though with SIL up 3.73% and SILJ up 5.51% on the day.

      • On February 18, 2020 at 9:40 pm,
        Excelsior says:

        Silver up to $18.25.

        Gold up to $1605

It would be nice to see the metals close up near these levels to end the week.

Brian was talking about Lybera or Libera or ????? Gold and Copper –

Just looked it up and can’t find the miner –

    Anybody has a clue?

    • On February 18, 2020 at 3:31 pm,
      Mike says:

      Boing! It is Libero

      • On February 18, 2020 at 8:27 pm,
        Excelsior says:

Yep the new Ian Slater Copper company. He seems like a quality guy, but he also ran Red Eagle mining in Colombia right into the ground (when their underground mining ran into trouble), so I’m a little gun shy to be involved with one of his companies again, as I got burnt bad on Red Eagle. The fact that they missed the drilling deadlines last year trying to rush a hole before the weather hit, and had a massive selloff in this company isn’t helping my confidence any in their ability to execute a plan.
