Erik Wetterling joins me to discuss how he views some of the large drops we have seen in precious metals stocks over the past 2 weeks. We also discuss what actual drives metals stocks. It’s something other than the underlying metals price.

Note that I own shares of all companies discussed and LIO and NVO are banner sponsors of my site! 🙂

Hey buddy, always great to get your insights.

LIO Lion One has been on a real tear over the last year. Now that they have consolidated all the adjacent land in the caldera, they will be able to grow the deposit in a big way. These alkaline deposits can be huge!

Incredible that it took 7 years of patience in order to do it. Now, they are finding gold all over the place since they can finally look for it to the north. Yeah, I think this is one of few tier 1 systems out there.

        Cheers Excelsion!

Yeah, after 7 years they are an overnight success (lol). I remember looking at Lion One several times in the past over the years and thinking it was too small to fool with in Fiji. However, when Quinton joined their technical team, and explained just how massive those Alkaline systems could be and provided a few examples, that they now have in their corporate presentation, now I’m thinking the market still thinks that they are just going to be a 1-2 million ounce deposit, and doesn’t grasp how much adjacent land they have, how deep their deposit can go, and that they may be able to prove up a 10-20 million ounce deposit. If folks are looking for size and scale, they may have it in spades.

Keep up the great work man and I enjoy reading over your thoughts over at ceo.ca each week.

I like the way you think and I think I missed out on all those. Oh well next time. Anaconda and then Galway then Pure Gold and Minaurium, Kerr are my top plays.

Can’t catch em all as they say :P. I have missed and will miss a lot of good stories. I do think they are pretty cheap now though since they got panic sold during the broader market sell off hehe. The companies you mentioned look good as well! GLTA

Hi Fritz – I’m there with you in Anaconda and Pure Gold, and have been told by a few folks to take a deeper dive with Minaurum, but I’m a bit overstocked on Gold and Silver miners and need to divest some of what I have on the wins before I pick up any more.

Good luck to you with your investments!

LIO is a no-Brainer. Selling for half of the future royalty payments alone from their Australian Iron asset. Excellent new results showing an even larger shallow gold deposit. Then the possibility of a deeper Alkaline deposit? Back up the truck….

No mention of Novo QH inv in NewFound on top of Kalamazoo….what does it mean, do we have $$ to burn…we s/b focused only on Novo, and if such a deal why no also inv in Lion One/Irving. Isn’t QH spreading himself to thin vs strictly Novo. I happen to be inv in all mentioned ex I’m in Mex.
