Tech is continuing to hold up the markets… What to watch for a rotation away from Tech

TG Watkins joins me to discuss the continued trend of money flowing into tech stocks. Whether it’s good economic news or bad economic news nothing seems to be able to throw the high flying tech stocks off their uptrend. We look ahead to possible catalysts that could drive tech lower and even on the other side, what could drive tech even higher.

The Cognoscenti know there is (REALLY IS) NO REASON for the continued lockdown/shutdown.

    WHY?
Because it is now proven that a fairly high viral load needs to be present for a person to transmit infection.

This means THAT A HIGHLY SENSITIVE test at a $100 dollars a test and 3-7 days lab. wait is totally unnecessary.

ALL WE NEED is a test that tests positive, not for any viral load, but for a HIGH VIRAL LOAD, large enough for disease transmission.

Such tests exist for $1-2, with results available in 10-15 minutes.
They consist of monoclonal antibodies loaded on to a piece of cardboard, DO NOT REQUIRE ANY BLOOD, and require merely the testee to spit on the testing strip.
    These are at home tests.

The current tests are picking up minimal viral loads in people who for the most part are recovered already from a minor bout with covid-19.

The main problem in the US is the bureaucracy of the FDA and CDC wanting everyone tested to MUCH TOO HIGH A STANDARD……totally unnecessary.

Results from high sensitivity test are coming in that for every person that gets sick with covid-19 there are 10 (about TEN) people that have had the disease, thought it was sniffles or a minor cold, got on with their lives, basically unaffected by the disease.
Depending on locality, it is thought that between 10% and 30% of the U.S. population have now had the disease.
Other countries have tested large fractions of their populations, and have shown, it appears at this point in time, most (high 90s%)infected children HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TRANSMIT THE DISEASE. The reason for this is that children do not have a large enough viral load. (It appears that about 1 million viruses per mL serum level are required for transmission.)
Once a person is infected the virus replication is exponential and the person becomes capable of transmitting the disease within a few hours, remains capable of transmitting the disease for 7-14 days, but then, although carrying virus particles for perhaps two months (to be able to test positive) is no longer actually capable of transmitting the disease.
WE NEED NEED THEREFORE TO TEST NOT WHETHER SOMEONE HAS THE DISEASE, BUT WHETHER THEY ARE CAPABLE OF TRANSMISSION.
Such a cheap at home test exists…..probably cheap enough for universal testing
