The United States is the greatest Country in the World with out question. With that being said, the failure to hold our elected officials to task, we can all share collectively as a failure.
The biggest failure is the continual turning of a blind eye to the Zionists that have hijacked our Republic.

      Aug 06, 2020 06:21 AM

Agree on the hijacking by the bankers…….

    @rt

Has the U.S. gotten so crazy they now intend to sanction themselves?

Texas is the greatest country and home to the armadillo, with the friendliest people and the prettiest women you’ve ever seen.

Notice the U.S. supports those Zionists 100%, they even have christians for Israel.

It would be nice if the U.S. stopped supporting the zionists, al qaeda, isis,al nusra etc etc

    Cant see that happening tho.

It goes with out saying b.
They have become so entrenched in our system of Government, that the only real hope in my opinion is a complete a and total collapse. I know that I will be labeled as an Anarchist for saying that. So be it.

      Aug 06, 2020 06:36 AM

John, not sure we need a total collapse,,,,,,but, we sure are not going to pay the trillions of debt…to the slave masters either.

        Aug 06, 2020 06:51 AM

        Exactly Jerry.
The debt cannot be paid, nor can it be inflated away. Politicians would rather not focus on this inconvenient truth.
Speaking of which , I’ve haven’t seen any focus on this as well on this Political blog.
Kinda like asking Jim how much Gold he owns.

          Aug 06, 2020 06:56 AM

I am still waiting on the Q group , to tell me how they plan on Nationalizing the Debt….
          Politicians……in the last hand out of $3Trillion , made a mint…..
Ebo, had some great info on the PPP…hand out to corporations…..
          What a joke……..

Better yet Jerry, I wonder how much Silver Mr Mckinney owns?

I think Jimmy, is a fine American……same as you John…….
Just has not connected all the dots yet,…..does not mean he is stupid,
just has not been exposed to the entire truth, yet…..JMO
And that is not meant to be condescending…..in any way.

            Aug 06, 2020 06:41 PM

            Well stated Jerry:
I just get tired of the Make America Great crowd that were Conservative sell outs.
Look at the Voting record of the Supreme Court and how many times the 5th vote went to the Liberals by a so called Conservative.

            Aug 06, 2020 06:47 PM

Ditto John…..on the so called Supreme Court……

            Aug 07, 2020 07:03 PM

If the opinions of the Supremes are actually read, it can be noted that the “liberal” labeled side of the Court protects individual Constitutional rights and the” Conservatives” protect Corporate and money interests. No argument is necessary…Only the ability to read and interpret rulings.

    Aug 06, 2020 06:29 AM

    NO it’s NOT…………….
But it could be if it’s people woke up , & fought to win it back….What happened a long time ago , could happen again……………….

I agree with you, we need a complete collapse for any hope.
Cross your fingers the collapse hasnt been planned all along.

    Aug 06, 2020 06:49 AM

It is the greatest nation, because bullshit ideologically and political driven propaganda like Jeff Daniels spews in this segment is allowed without question.

The reason it is the greatest that some Americans can miss, the reason why this is the most desired country to get to in the world, is because you could think, believe, chose how you wanted to live to improve your life without the threat of violence. The ideologues who wrote this script and who are rioting for change, false narratives of racism, and who profit from the very system they abhor, are shutting down those values.

They want to burn the system down, like some of you. Some would remake in in a false Utopia, a la Orwell’s 1984, some to make it more free – the greatest thing about this country is it can change, and can keep these values, if we fight to keep them. Those that want it to self destruct have obviously never been in a place where that happens – I have, and those that have know what hell that becomes.

      Aug 06, 2020 06:59 AM

      Jim M:
What happened in the Country happened only with the blessing of the U S Government.
Those who refuse to acknowledge the precarious situation we find ourselves in here in the U.S will be the first ones ones yelling for the Government to do something much like what happened with the creation of the Federal Reserve.

      Aug 06, 2020 06:07 PM

Jimmy, if, you have 8 million patriots , ready, willing and able to stand up……call them out…….You, and Al, need to be talking about the CONSTITUTION…….
in stead of which political party you are backing……
Known fact , the parties are the same…..Year after year, since 1947 or before,

Please be informed….I backed the Republican Party a long time…..so, I am kind of on your side…..but, ….really, this is getting insane…..

        Aug 06, 2020 06:52 PM

Jerry, agree – talking about the Constitution is the right path. The system is rigged, the parties do control the power, the media, the money. How does one fight it from the outside? It’s hard, even with power, money and media – Ross Perot is a great example – tried but failed to wake people up. I am taking taking the inside path, try to change back to the basic ideals of individual responsibility and freedom.

I believe the rise of Trump is reshaping the Republican party, and provides an opportunity. But there is a lot of corruption and a deep state tricks to deal with, from both sides. This is a process, it takes a long time, and deep commitment to fight our way back to God and Country, and the Constitution. I can’t give up on the US, I won’t. I don’t want the US to fail, I want the US to prosper – and return to being a light on the hill.

I not sure “the people” will win.

How often is it said; “The pen is mightier than the sword”?

We, the people, have lost control of the media.

Half the people are half-asleep anyway, and so apathetic that they would never do anything…..they are busy earning a living, or busy sitting on their backsides getting welfare/social security.

America WAS the greatest country in the world till about 1965. From that point on, liberals like the guy who made this TV series took over and the country has been in an inexorable decline.

Very dated video, but makes some good points.

For those with the courage to really dig down to the root cause of America’s problems, read “Liberty: The God That Failed” by Christopher Ferrara.

    Aug 06, 2020 06:38 PM

Big Al, I understand where Will is coming from and he cites some of the very items that demonstrated greatness about America. The constitution, the Declaration of Independence are two amazing documents that defined what we would and should aspire to be, but like most civilizations, over several generations, we slowly at first then more quickly depart from the very principles in those documents, and thus become some of the negative things he quotes.

He is correct on some of the reasons for this, a departure from decisions based on sound moral principles, and a severe devolution of truly well informed citizens. Ignorance of the principles we were founded on and the way the country was designed to operate is partially responsible for our degradation. Apathy towards those principles or even a desire to understand and to live by them is another contributor. Sheer greed, avarice, and only thinking of one’s individual desires without regard for the effects on society and the collateral damages is another.

The founders knew it would be difficult to keep the republic they gave us and warned us about the dangers, but like many people, many of us have disregarded their counsel. It is a rather sad and oft repeated scenario that when people neglect to learn from history, their inclinations always have them repeating the same mistakes of the past.

Of greatest importance are morality, personal accountability & responsibility, being informed of correct principles and then having the courage and effort to live by them. I seem to recall that George Washington as a teenager began early on to formulate a list of virtues he wanted to be exemplified in his life and carried that list with him at all times, referring to it regularly to get his bearings as to how he was doing. Many of the other founders and citizens alike, made similar efforts to be what they ought to be. Much of that same understanding and effort is missing with too many today.

I believe that this nation and the founding documents and those great men who created them were inspired by God to that very purpose. As Franklin recognized “God governs in the affairs of men and if a sparrow cannot fall without His notice, is it probable that a great nation can rise without His aid?” Yet, too many of our citizens and the government itself have turned their backs on God, the very being who has many times come to our aid in time of need.

As some of the prophets of old have told us that God has stated “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land”. That is a promise. We are not prospering as we should because we are neglecting the greater counsel of God and God will be slow to answer us in time of need because too many are slow to heed Him. So, it is not surprising to me why we are in the fix we are in at this time and the best way out of it is “self evident” as the founders noted.

I still am optimistic that there are enough good people in the land and that they and us will someday begin to turn things around, just like Abraham “per adventure there be 10 righteous in the city, wilt thou spare the city?” And God said yes. I believe in this heavenly math that per adventure there are enough righteous in the land, God will spare the land, whatever that number is. May we all be part of that number and have the land spared, that is the best patriotism we can exercise.

I may no longer think the US is the best country in the world….

And I know the UK sure as h*ll isn’t:

In a stunning power grab by the British government, local councils are set to be empowered with the authority to demolish buildings that are deemed to be epicentres of Chinese coronavirus outbreaks throughout the country.

Published last month — with little fanfare — the Department of Health and Social Care’s “COVID-19 Contain Framework” laid out a series of laws, including the Coronavirus Act 2020, that local governments will be able to utilise in order to contain flare-ups of the Wuhan virus.

Don’t these idiots know SARS CoV-II dies in presence of UV light?
