Metalla Royalty and Streaming – Growth plans for 2021

Cory
January 8, 2021

Brett heath, President and CEO of Metalla Royalty and Streaming (TSX.V:MTA – NYSE:MTA) joins me to outline the growth strategy for this year. We start by discussing the recent inclusion into the GDXJ, SILJ, and GOAU and how these additions further the Company’s profile in the royalty space. This all leads into a discussion on the types of transactions Metalla is targeting to continue to grow the Company’s value.

If you have any follow up questions for Brett please email me at Fleck@kereport.com.

Good luck in your royalty trades aghead.

I mentioned on Tuesday’s blog a few times that I’d sold out of most of my MTA on Monday & Tuesday’s trading session, and for royalties moved the capital into Ely Gold, which is further down the valuation food chain from Metalla.

I’m looking into getting 1-3 base metals royalty companies and Nova Royalty is definitely one of those, but I haven’t wanted to chase it higher, as the valuation already went parabolic after it launched a few months back. If it would correct back down more I’d nab a starter position. I’m still considering Altius Minerals and Anglo Pacific Group as 2 other candidates, but they’ve also run really far to the upside already. If these companies share prices would pull back down meaningfully in a corrective leg then I’d likely buy all 3.

I retained my royalty positions in Maverix, Elemental, Nomad, Golden Valley, Vox, Sailfish, as untouched. I added to my Sandstorm Gold position in today’s trading session.

While some of the royalty companies like Metalla, Maverix, EMX, Abitibi, Osisko have already had nice moves over the last 2 years, there are some newer entries into the sector (like Vox, Elemental, Orogen, Trident, Sailfish, Nomad, Empress, Ely, etc…) still getting more established with investors that may represent some nice upside in the year to come. Even some of the larger companies like Sandstorm represent an interesting value proposition at current prices, as a different way to play the precious metals sector, outside of physical/paper metals, or the individual miners or ETFs.

I had posted this interview yesterday, but E.B. Tucker is a Director and one of the brains behind Metalla Royalty and Nova Royalty, so it is relevant for a repost.

E.B. made some great macro points in this interview, and some funny points regarding the political circus we’ve seen this week. Even the comments section was pretty good.

E.B. Tucker: Civil war is not imminent, but a bull rally in these assets is (Pt. 1/2)

      Kitco News – Jan 7, 2021

America is not headed for another Civil War, but what investors can expect is an appreciation of commodity prices in the wake of major economic changes, said E.B. Tucker, director of Metalla Royalty and author of “Why Gold, Why Now.”
