Just for the record, I moved to California so I could grow all my own organic food.
I left California because talking to crazy liberals was disturbing my peace of mind + high taxation.
I have moved to Tennessee and now am growing most of my vegetables and have just bought an acre for fruit trees, so, if I live long enough I will also have fruit.
I eat almost no store bought processed food, except for cheese.
I cannot see well enough to drive, so have milk, some meat and frozen fish delivered and I do eat out when on cruises. I have not decided whether to go back to keeping chickens, 50-50, except I do like fresh eggs. I do bake my own bread, which is perhaps why I’m obese. Damn hard not to eat a whole new small loaf, fresh out the oven, as I make 4 at a time.
That’s all good CFS….I eat what my wife serves for dinner…I tend to make a lot of fresh hamburgers if left on my own…..but i do serve it on Ezekial sprout bread w fresh tomato, lettuce, purple onions and a dab of commercial Hellmans mayo, open face….not a great cook here or baker, at all……i do want to find time to figure out fermenting foods like pickles and sauerkraut…..occasionally i will doctor up a bottle pasta sauce for spaghetti…but i try to avoid carbing up at this stage in life..ya know…lmao

I hpnestly cannot rememcer when I last had a hamburger. It will be 25 years or so since I last cooked one at home for my son. My wife, who was also a professor was not a great cook, so I did most cooking at home. I tend to eat just 2 meals a day, and out of those 14 meals a week, have fish for about 5. (Used to be more in summer, when I owned lake-front property in Indiana.) Now it’s about salmon half the time for fish. For meat in order of most consumption it is probably chicken, pork, beef. I’ll have steaks occasionally, but not often
My diet is closer to French Mediterranean than American. Despite living in Germany for a couple of years, sauerkraut is too acidic for my liking, even if it is good for one.
