    Welcome back Big Al.

The problem with cryptocurrencies is that no major power will ever allow a cryptocurrency to significantly supplant its currency, if it has the power to stop them. (As we see in China.)

In order to buy some crypto i had to go through 6 globalist corporations any one of which or the gov could have stopped my transaction. Microsoft, ATT, server, telcom, gov, silicon from china, android, ios, intel, AMD , don’t forget the Wallet. Someone please explain to me how this is secure.

THanks for all of your concern. As you are aware, my wife joined Jesus back in June and I needed a new evnironment so I went and visited my best friends down in Oregon City, Oregon. We have been friends for over thirty years and they were a great help to me. Help that I truly needed at this time.

Big Al – Wishing you and your family all the best during this time. Getting the love and fellowship of good friends can be very therapeutic to the mind and soul indeed.

The weakness of any (or every) cryptocurrency is its reliance of necessity for a crypto-exchange in a country. Unless the existence of an exchange can be guaranteed absolutely, then any (or all) cryptocurrency cannot represent value in that country.
(Good luck to anyone that has any money with Binance …… I think you will lose it, because China has more power than you do.

If/when the US gets its financial act together, I believe it will create its own cryptocurrency and outlaw all others. Good luck with that, because it will bestow on the government immense control. (More control than I will cede.)

Any “future currency of the world” would have to be guaranteed by an international body.
Which possible body would that be? The I.M.F. ?, or the U.N. ? I don’t think so.

    He was a POW.
We have his word that he went through hell as a POW.
He, however, survived. Many fine Americans did not.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe being captured as a POW would be hell in itself. The psychological trauma of being totally vulnerable has, indeed, changed many men for life. However, there is substantial evidence that he fully cooperated with Vietnam in generating anti-American propaganda, and thereby reducing any severe treatment he might have received.

    Sep 25, 2021 25:52 AM

    Concerning cryptos.

The argument is it is “better” somehow. Quicker, easier etc.
Just happens I purchased some womans cloths for a friend of mine over the net today.
I used a credit card, the transaction took maybe 5-10 seconds.
It is recorded and verified, seemed very efficient to me.

How would a crypto improve on that?
It wouldnt actually, the company doesnt accept cryptos.
Aside from the point I suppose.

One advantage a crypto might have is sending cash to a person in another country.
I can do that now of course but it does require a bit of an effort, thing is, I have no need to do that.

Future use? China just made cryptos illegal, this is significant as they are the biggest economy and growing big time.

Al, you agree with bitcoin 1000%?

Thats ok, people choose their currency but just a mention, nations around the world are in the process of dropping the american dollar, they are intending to use their national currencies and they wont be doing business in crypto with china.

Consider where so much of our products come from, what will we use to pay for them?

1 other consideration, el salvidor had large protests when bitcoin was made legal tender, it is a long way away from being stable enuff to use for business, what happens is a company receiving a crypto turns it into, you guessed it, a national currency immediately.

It is transferring and not being used as, maybe 1 day it will replace the american dollar in the U.S.
We are described as the undisputed champions for bitcoin/crypto use.

Just a bit of a pointless rant πŸ˜‰

      cfs
      Sep 25, 2021 25:54 AM

I have always seen cryptos as useful for transnational commerce, but less so for ordinary commerce.
Will we have one world order in which cryptos might have some utility? I don’t know.
I certainly hope not; for surely it would equalize down the standard of living of the Western world.
I fully understand the attractiveness of cryptos to a new world order, and even to a national cryptocurrency for use within a country…..It would allow total control over all commerce and instant taxation, without chance of citizen input.
In theory it could allow governments to control individual buying and selling and working payment using social rating standards. I cannot imagine ever voluntarily allowing such government control over my life.

        Sep 25, 2021 25:41 PM

I am not quite as pessimistic as you are in this area, Professor.

          cfs
          Sep 25, 2021 25:52 PM

There have been few governments in the history of the world that, once in power, have not tried to gain more.
The current problem with many cryptos, from any government’s point of view, is the lack of ability to increase the quantity.
That, of course, is seen as an advantage by the man in the street.
But just as Bitcoin, BTC, has spawned:
Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin BEP2, Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin Standard Hashrate Token, etc, I’m sure governments will always inflate available cryptocurrencies under their control; thereby destroying the major raison d’Γͺtre for existence in the first place.

      Sep 25, 2021 25:47 PM

Certainly not “pointless rant” my fried. I think there is a pretty good chance that bitcoin could become the cueency of the realm in the relatively near future. If not the currency of the realm than certainly a piece of it.

I cant recall a time other than childhhod when I didnt have a credit card.
once in decades a wireless theft happened at Winners retail.
I was notified immediatly and givin a new card, nothing was put on my card.

That was the only issue I have ever had with a credit card.

Anyone steals your card info etc you are insured 100%

I just dont see an advantage to cryptos other than transferring to other countries.

I can transfer cash in canada at no cost now simply by depositing in the persons account.
I guess you could say its a hassle to go to a bank, course you can bank online.

To me, cryptos are a speculation, obviously a profitable one, I just dont see a use value for me.
