Still rooting for you Rye Patch. People are quick to be critical if things don’t happen immediately but slow and steady wins the race. I am happy to hear you don’t want to waste the money. CDE has little chance of winning because the claims were staked by Rye Patch fair and square, and that is why CDE is trying to postpone. I am in it for the long haul, and I hope the company gets acquired at a favorable level so that it rewards the shareholders that hung tight during the rough spots. Also there are a number of properties in their portfolio not just these disputed claims and that value is not currently being reflected in the share price.

In it to win it, Shad, usually means “in it for the long haul”!

Hi Al, Im a long time listener, first time commenter. First I want to thank you so much for your service and show. I’ve learned so much listening to you and your guests. I admit felt a selfish tinge of sadness when you said you’re sliding into retirement, as I would greatly miss your show. You are most definitely a person of quality and integrity, and you seem to find guests who are the same. But on to Rye Patch. At first galnce, the case seems open and shut, and it seems amazing to me that people expect them to lose. The more I considered it though, a thought occurred to me. People don’t expect the government to do the right thing anymore and don’t expect justice from the court system. Break the law and sell out the stock and bond holders to save GM. Why not? Instead of ruling on the constitutionality of Obamacare, let’s find a way to make it legal by taxing people for not doing something. So I’m holding my Rye Patch stock and praying that justice prevails, but I won’t be terribly surprised if the court makes a political ruling instead of a moral one.
And before the democrat readers lambast me for attacking Obama and being a Republican, I’m just using those as recent examples. I’ve voted Republican, Democrat, and Independant. I say shame on anyone who votes a straight ticket and doesn’t weigh each candidate to the best of their ability and vote their conscience.

      Number of comments Gig,

First of all, I am not really sliding into retirement. I will always spend 4 – 6 hours per day doing this.

Secondly, thank you very much for you kind words about me.

Thirdly, I have never voted a straight ticket and would find it to be miraculous if I ever did.

      Best to you,

      Big Al

I wasn’t refering to you Al. You’ve made it clear many times you vote your conscience. I wish more people realized what their vote really means, and
did the same. Watching college students in Ohio bragging that they committed voter fraud during the last presidential election was one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen.

from the CDE release it states RPM agreed to the Sept date

        please ask Bill why?

    Oct 25, 2012 25:50 AM

Al have heard from Rye Patch yet?

    Oct 25, 2012 25:07 PM

Bill said, “On Monday our council, cde council, and sixth district court will meet” “and “tues or wednesday we will know what that date is and will make sure to let our investors know…I don’t see a long postponement.” Well, nothing has been said. Are you silent, because you don’t want to dispel bad news? Or, is there a buyout negotiation? I don’t like the uncertainty, nor finding out about the postponement through a CDE sec filing.
