      Jan 25, 2012 25:29 PM

      HI Mr. Irish,

I thought it was incredibly simplistic and somewhat inaccurate.

Will be a very interesting election!

      Best to you,

100% marxist, was my opinion. I never thought the US would go in that direction!

Will make a comment on today’s Daily, cfs,

Al you are a good well meaning man, just as my grandparents were. Very old school and always willing to help. Interestingly though, always confronted with barriers to intellectual honesty that are diametrically opposed to a fairytale of illusion of an old school system that has not worked for decades.

Unfortunately for you to admit the complete and utter failure of the dishonest, bankrupt, closed, monopolistic two party system would mean all the BS, rationalization and complicit support for that parasitic guild of people would mean you’re belief structure was a false god of sorts.

You just can’t admit what is right before your eye’s. The Republicans and Democrats DO NOT work for the American people nor the greater good of the social fabric.

The “Stockholm Syndrome” of fantasy and apathy is alive and well in today’s modern world.

          Morning Vortex,

I will comment on this in today’s Daily Editorial.

Go easy on him AL…..we need all the paying clients we can get….

    Jan 25, 2012 25:47 PM

plus, i noticed during the state of the union address the president did not even discuss the keystone pipeline project or nuclear energy. Does he really care about creating jobs in the US? I think not.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:52 PM

      Hi SteveW.
Good point. His only interest is to increase the dependency Americans have on the governemnt.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:30 PM

      HI Steve W,

Keystone was glaringly missing from the speech!

      Big Al

    Jan 25, 2012 25:48 PM

    Hi Al,
I could not agree with you more. The speech was not only boaring but full of lies.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:31 PM

      HI Karen,

I could not believe not only the nature but also the total lack of enthusiasm on the part of Joe Biden.

Joe Biden is Catholic and maybe his boss is starting to make him a big angry!

      Big Al

    Jan 25, 2012 25:53 PM

Our energy has succeeded in spite of him, not because of him.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:31 PM

      Amen Matt R!

    Jan 25, 2012 25:07 PM

Hi Al, Yup there is alot of points to mention about that speech.
I have to say I disagree with you about taxes and military spending, I tend to agree with Ron Paul on that one.
Just thinking, a huge improvment to education would only require a copy of the constitution in classrooms. Probly cheap enough and students could start getting a good education. As far as military cut backs and the strength of the U.S. military, I believe Ron Paul is correct, that most of the american military is built for the last big war and not the next, the americans already have everything they need militarily with that missle that can hit anywhere on the planet within an hour and the submarines. I agree with Ron Paul that troops in forgn lands is outdated. Being prepared for the previuous war is not a new thing a great example or 2 might be the polish cavlry charge on armour or bayonet charges in the face of machine gun fire. What is rare is an ability to see that and thats just another point for Ron Pauls intellegence, knowledge of history and forsight. Anyway I figure the americans could cut military spending in half and still remain the most threatening on the planet.
Other than that Mr. obama speech is of course all bs but the people buy it and it is all part of their plan. I honustly dont see how anyone could even consider much less believe a guy that brought about the ndaa.
People still have a ways to go to understand that anyone can be taken without charge and tell no one about it and torture them to death and its legal.
Anyone we know could dissapear and we could never find out what happened to them ever. At one time people would get concerned if someone they knew just disappeared. The frogs they are boiling i think.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:33 PM

      Yes sir,

      The frogs they are boiling!

Regarding the military, I too agree with Congressman Paul.

I think that the spending cuts in this arena need to be carefully thought out, thought.

ALL I CAN SAY IS…. LOONEY TOON TIME…..AND DAFFY DUCK OBAMA..
BUT, THAT IS AN INSULT TO DAFFY…SORRY DAFFY.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:34 PM

Yep Mr. Definitely in the Box,

      Sorry Daffy!

    Jan 25, 2012 25:26 PM

Just a spectacular response Al. Every single point. Proof again that in the SOTU, just says lots of nice things and hope the people will like you. I guess we next get to hear the White House budget in next week or so.

PS I was also looking at Biden / Boehner. They looked like patients waiting in a dentist office.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:33 PM

John: Port Orford is a nice place but a bit windy in summer. If by curiosity should you like to get back down to this area again sometime, please contact me. We can exchange numbers if you Email me at claysticker@yahoo.com

        Jan 25, 2012 25:55 PM

Absolutely Clay, it’d be a pleasure. I’ll send an email in a bit. Not sure when the next trip will be but usually isn’t too long.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:35 PM

      HI John,

Kathy made an interesting comment. “It is the same thing he has been saying since before he was elected.

      This coming from a Democrat.

      Great dinner, huh!

      Big Al

        Jan 25, 2012 25:07 PM

Kathy is bang-on. I was thinking the same thing actually. Turns out it’s pretty easy to run for President. Just say lots of happy things and you’re in! Say more happy things, and you’ll stay in.

Great dinner, yes sir! (pretty good red wine too) As if everyone didn’t already know, Big Al is as great a guy in person as he is every day on the blog. We’re all very lucky.

          Jan 25, 2012 25:14 PM

yes, John I agree with you on the “very lucky” part….

          Jan 26, 2012 26:23 AM

          Hi John W,

Not nearly as lucky as I am!

    Jan 25, 2012 25:04 PM

Al, speaking of fairy tails, could you give out the dates and places for the Tempe and Indian Wells conferences? Thanks, they are just close enough to attend.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:20 PM

      Glenn,

I had it on an open tab, thought I’d send it out (see all of them at http://cambridgehouse.com/ ).

      * No Cambridge House in AZ this year.

      * Roger Wiegand is going ahead with his technicals and trading strategy course in Tempe, AZ though…but I think that’s April 26th? (during Resource Wealth Conference). Roger, help us out, what are the details on this?

      * Cambridge House – Indian Wells – Feb 11, 12 (Sat, Sun) – Hyatt.

Anyone who hasn’t gone to one of these should seriously consider getting themselves to one at least once in your life.

        Jan 25, 2012 25:37 PM

        Thanks John W,

Also hope to see you there.

        Big Al

          Jan 25, 2012 25:10 PM

Will try…sizing up to be a busy Feb, but a quick drive over will hopefully work.

            Jan 26, 2012 26:23 AM

            Great,

            Big Al

      Jan 25, 2012 25:37 PM

      Hi Glenn,

If you come by Indian Wells, I would love to share a cup of coffer of whatever.

      Best,

      Big Al

Trix are for kids.I like the stern in your voice though. We need a great deal more of that in MSM to raise the bar to a place where notice will get real.Maybe when the riots come. One thing I do see is that God saves more when they are not provided their every want without respect for it.Many will find that they are richest when they are the poorest.
God Bless America.Even if it is from a moral and financial bottem.Repentance brings salvation even from dominating arrogance of world dominion.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:38 PM

      Hi Steve J,

      Many thanks for the comment.

All I can say is, Amen!

Glenn Beck pointed out a disturbing quote form the STOU which sounds like dictator Obama wants to change the constitution so he can have more power. Would like to know what everyone thinks: “The executive branch also needs to change. Too often, it’s inefficient, outdated and remote. That’s why I’ve asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy so that our Government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people.”

      Jan 25, 2012 25:30 PM

Sounds like the Imperial Leader asking the leaders of the Galactic Republic to grant him extra authority, which of course, he will later lay down when the crisis abates. I don’t care what president holds the reigns, this request should raise the alarm. Even if we can allow for this to just be taken out of context (and I’m not certain about that), what a terrible and arrogant way to say something in a SOTU.

As an aside, what example do we have from the last 3 years to indicate the current president is trying to make the government leaner, quicker or more responsive, with or without special authority now being asked?? Sounds like a tag line to quell libertarians, Paul supporters, etc.

        Jan 25, 2012 25:41 PM

        Yep John W,

But they are much too smart to fall for that line!

        Big Al

      Jan 25, 2012 25:40 PM

      Karen,

I think that you know how I feel about his comment.

Just one more reason to be frightened and to stay as informed as possible.

    Jan 25, 2012 25:45 PM

This whole speech was an excersize in futility. The president does not live in any reality that I am familar with. As always he is long on words and short on planning and implementing a real and acceptable strategy. If only we (citizens) can wake up and chart a new course before the new world order completes its redisign efforts.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:41 PM

      Hi Larry,

You should read The Audacity of Hope if you have not read it.

Mitch Daniels gave a thoughtful, rational and easy to understand R response.

      Jan 25, 2012 25:42 PM

      HI Dai Uy,

Yep, I would pretty much agree with you,

We will be speaking at the Indian Wells Cambridge show February 11-12 at Palm Springs. On April 26, 2012, I will be conducting a one day trading-teaching seminar for futures and stocks. Slides shown with booklet of the slides for note writing. I will be teaching stuff I’ve never released before. One system had 18 futures trades in a row. Those market set-ups left us for a while but are back again. Contact Linda Gorman at 800-494-4149 or 480-820-5877 to register for the class. It is is for one full day. Following two days, I will be speaking at the Gorman’s Wealth Resource Conference, one of my favorites; Tempe Arizona. Smaller Group but high quality. Six good speakers. Linda can register you for both shows with one phone call. I am excited to show the things I have learned from some of the best. This year should be excellent. I ‘m up +22% since January 1, 2012. – Traderrog
