Why should this surprise anyone? The U.S. is weak and the rest of the world knows it.

This is what our kid president wants. His goal is to knock the U.S. down a few pegs and it is all coming to fruition.

Stop seeing it for anything other than what it is

Not sure that it started with him, James.

There are a number of reasons that some would think substantiate your opinion, I will say.

Double speak and inconsistent foreign policy will lead to war

And, I might add, a lack of moral values!

          Apr 22, 2014 22:55 PM

Moral Values should be number one!

            I COMPLETELY AGREE!

To be clear, the JPOST is NOT an Israeli newspaper. JPOST is a CIA propaganda outlet recycling CIA propaganda, masquerading as Israeli news. Same for the other CIA propaganda outlet such as Ha’aretz, and Ynet.

Can you provide a credible source?

        Apr 21, 2014 21:49 PM

The propaganda is exactly the same as the rest of the alphabet soup CIA gov mafia propaganda outlets we are familiar with in the US, Canada, EU, Australia, etc. Paste & Copy from AP, Reuters, and the rest of the wire “news” propaganda.

The POTUS and the elite who own him are not interested in American exceptionalism. The leaders in charge want a “safe” (by their standards, socio-fascist) status quo that keeps them in power with a geometrically growing power/control upon any that would dissent with them, i.e., the American public.

The other nations of the world are seeing if they can get away with their millennia-old grudges and lost empires being reborn. To do that, they have to deconstruct everything that happened from World War I to World War II. There is resistance to such totalitarianism by a percentage of the population, this is the percentage being suppressed and discriminated against. Being made an example of to the others.

People talk about “going Galt”. The Roman Empire had both rich and poor fleeing Rome, fleeing the empire, trying to go into the countryside away from the politics. But the feudal system was no better – and if you tried to escape the hamlet, they tried to bring you back in chains. Without a middle class there is no advancement in human life outside of the caste/inheritance system. America used to be the largest nation in the world with a middle class and without royalty, without privilege – and we are seeing the destruction of that system from within today, and the repercussions felt around the world.

        On this note:
“A new study from Princeton and Northwestern Universities has found that the United States’ government more closely resembles an Oligarchy or a Corporatocracy than a Republic or Democracy. Researchers examined nearly 2,000 policy changes in the United States between 1981 and 2002 and compared the changes to the preferences of average Americans, wealthy citizens, and interest and lobbying groups.

The researchers sought to find the answers to who governs in America, who really rules, and to what extent are U.S. citizens sovereign or powerless. To do this they analyzed four theoretical traditions in American politics. These include Majoritarian Electoral Democracy, Economic Elite Domination, and two types of interest group pluralism, Majoritarian Pluralism and Biased Pluralism. The researchers write, “The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence.”

They found evidence to support the theories of Economic Elite Domination, and Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism. The key difference in the theories is the power and influence that wealthy individuals yield versus the average, or median voter.”
