Draghi asks the Question; “Are we finished” and then says “No”.

I think he is wrong. The EU is facing very serious problems. It has been a great experiment, but it is very difficult to build a unity out of peoples with different languages, cultures and beliefs. The U.S. will find this out in the future for its illegal immigration will divide and eventually destroy the country.
H The EU is going to have increasing problems and it could have set up a workable free trade zone. However, the power-grabbing ambitions of the politicians went too far, too quickly and destroyed stability in the process.

Many Greeks blame Germany for the strict austerity imposed on their country in return for a massive €240 billion bailout funded jointly by the European Union and the IMF.

The very nature of the Greek people and its culture is so far removed from that of the Germans it would take many generations before this mixture of oil and water could develop into a uniform smooth emulsion. The EU was developed too quickly.
The US should learn a lesson from Greece, before it flings open its borders.

Interestingly, I hear their will be a bill introduced into the US Senate that will allow student loan refinancing at lower interest rates. This may almost make Obama illegal use of the pen irrelevant.

    Now for light entertainment…..
I have been watching the 10 year Spanish bond rates go down and down……I don’t know why. (Why I’m watching or why they’re going down) Anyway I just looked up how long it has been since interest rates have been this low.
    Answer: 1789.
I do understand why Spanish interest rates were low in 1789, however.

That year was the start of the French revolution and money was pouring out of France to seek a safe haven in Spain.
That is a lesson in economics that supply-demand theory works.
The fact that interest rates in Spain are again that low has no sense in economic theory, it seems to me to be pure insanity.

      Jun 10, 2014 10:07 PM

Cfs… maybe money is now pouring into spain… yet not a positive money, a negative money in terms of enormous amount they received from ecb

The Republican Leader of the House just lost his Primary to a landslide to a Tea-Party unknown.
    Sanity and commonsense win!
Alas, the Republican establishment is calling for write-in. They don’t get it.
You establishment scumbags; understand the general public is sick and tired of crony capitalism.

“[T]he illusory hope” in this article is the hope that the gods fashioned by the hands of man will satisfy his every desire. “The craftsman encourages the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer spurs on him who strikes the anvil. He says of the welding, ‘It is good.’ He nails down the idol so it will not topple.” Isaiah 41: 7.

This is insanity! Worshiping a god that must be nailed down so it will not topple. Since Adam fell in the garden, fallen man has changed NOT one bit. Sophisticated moderns glance at the Bible and laugh at how “primitive” man “used to be.” No, he has not changed, and neither have the idols. They are still false gods making false promises. Idols are dead, deaf, dumb, and blind. And those who worship them become like them.

      DRAGHI worships DAGON:

1Sa 5:2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
1Sa 5:3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.
1Sa 5:4 And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
1Sa 5:5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.
1Sa 5:6 But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.
1Sa 5:7 And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.

    INDIA June 10 2014 10:35 AM
MUMBAI (Scrap Register): Indian and Chinese central banks on track to absorb the equivalent of 90% of all mined gold production this year, said ETF Securities in its Precious Metal Weekly.
China, India and central banks absorbed just over 80% of global mine supply in 2 013 according to recent data. Recent data indicates that these three entities alone are likely to absorb the equivalent of nearly 90% of mine production in 2014m said ETF Securities.
Demand from India is likely to increase with the curtailing of the 2013 import restrictions . Central banks purchased 122 tons of gold in Q1 which is essentially unchanged year-on-year and China’s imports of gold from Hong Kong are up 18% year-on-year as of April . On a similar note, sales of US mint silver coins are on pace in 2014 to surpass the record 35 million ounces sold in 2013.

The US mint must purchase its silver from US sources and the amount of silver mined in the US in 2013 was only 35 million ounces. Most of the demand for silver is for industrial purposes and inventories are the lowest in decades – the majority in ETFs.

Today we learned that our government is opening a third military base in Oklahoma to house up to 1,200 illegal child immigrants.

These children give a whole new meaning to “anchor? babies. Send your 10 year old kid by themselves to establish living in the US and the US taxpayer pays for the rest of the family to come to re-unite. (and the upkeep of the child until the family arrives.)

It is hoped that this will be a great relief to everyone.
