Voting in today’s system amounts to legitimizing an illegitimate process.

I want the choice of ‘NONE of the above’.

Sounds like there is some ringing in the background. Sounds like some wind chimes or a fisher-price xylephone. Is someone watching the kids or grandkids? ๐Ÿ™‚

      Oct 27, 2015 27:21 PM

At 2:50 it was a wind chime.

      At 3:25 it was a fisher-price xylophone

        sorry….2:46 was the wind chime.

          Wiseguy / Excelsior….Wrong-Wrong-Wrong !!!
It was the sound of The Big Fella, counting all his silver bars , rounds , & coins while clinking a wine bottle against the rim of a very large glass…..I think.

            Oct 27, 2015 27:36 PM

            I stand corrected Irish. Agreed.

It is likely the bottle of red wine Mickey Fulp gave him, which is fitting for stacking up the silver.

            Oct 27, 2015 27:56 PM

A very, very large glass Mr Irish.

By the way, in the interest of common sense, I am now practicing a three ounce pour.

On another note some neighors of ours just got back from Ireland. They both agreed that the Guinness tour was among the highlights. Steve stressed that Guinness at the brewery isn’t eve close to tasting like the Guinness over in the states.

      Oct 27, 2015 27:58 PM

Actually Wiseguy, I can’t figure out where that is coming from!

Very well spotted – unless we have tinnitus.

I have not the foggiest what will happen tomorrow.

Even if I knew what the Fed was going to say I could not tell you whether the markets would soar or crash on the news.

I do. You will be out riding your bicycle tomorrow and so will I…barring rain, of course. ๐Ÿ™‚

Interesting comment Eddie. All I know for sure is that some Republicans will look silly tomorrow evening.

This was a pretty good interview with Phil Newman at the LBMA show in Vienna. He discusses Platinum, Palladium, Silver, and Gold.

    Off-topic … a re-post … KITCO’s recent videos of the LBMA conference in Vienna.

Each of the video’s is really great.

      Oct 27, 2015 27:35 PM

Agreed. I watched 12 different videos from the conference, and there were some interesting heads of banks, research desks for the big boys & girls, and CEOs.

It seemed their mood was rather neutral to gloomy overall, but there were some interesting thoughts from some of those interviewed.

Natural gas is like a penny stock. If it moves up a few pennies it will not do much.

    AL:

My brother has worked on the management staff of Rite-Aid for almost 10-years. We talk regularly about the company and it’s financial future. He feels they are overweight with high salaried executives and are REALLY hurting for ANY business. Watch their store hours and staffing during the upcoming holiday season and compare that to the other drug retailers. Rite-Aid will ALWAYS stay open longer and sacrifice the overhead while trying to squeeze that last $2.00 sale. Also, the recently introduced “Plenti” card was in development for 6-YEARS. The customer feedback indicates it was poorly thought out and has been a big disappointment.

    All The Best,

    JIM

It will be interesting to see how the producing junior miners performed in 3Q15. I think this might be a great opportunity to pick up shares of your favorite cocoas if the PMs continue to stall or drop into the end-of-year. I’m watching, mostly to see the AISC numbers and EPS for Claude, Kirkland Lake, Klondex, and Americas Silver. Also wondering if silver prices bottoming in the $US16 area ($C20) will allow ALexco to consider starting the mill and mining up in 2Q16.

    Oct 28, 2015 28:06 AM

“favorite cocoas” … uhm … favorite companies.

It’s interesting that gold is hitting the resistance level of $1180 practically exactly today just in time for whatever is going to come out from the Fed.
