Cory
November 2, 2017

On my call with Trader Vic Sperandeo he outlines why he thinks the job numbers that will be released tomorrow morning are a complete joke. He breaks down how the birth/death model as well as seasonality put the whole number in serious question.

I love this guy. He’s an excellent thinker and has enormous insight and wisdom. And this podcast in particular ends brilliantly. Thanks for hosting him.

Cory, I’d love to learn from Trader Vic about what he thinks will happen after the market “ends”, and what to do about it now in advance. So, long term investment-wise, he’s out of the S&P by yr end. My q is, what is he buying long term? Gold? Does he see a reset of the dollar, or does he see more QE, or what? And what’s his take on bitcoin, long term, and does he own any now? Stuff like this? What’s next, for the long term, after the market “ends”? Thanks!

What does Vic think about Novo and the Pilbara, and does he think the Astros will repeat as champs next year as Sports Illustrated says?

“…very, very suicidal” love that comment.

I appreciate Vic’s comments on the birth/death part of the jobs numbers. However, his statement that no business’ are being created because they don’t know what the tax bill is going to be is very short-sighted, almost stupid. Taxes are not the most important component of starting a business. Many small business people don’t even consider it. I’ve been there. I’ve watched others. There is always business being created! How much is the question. JMO
