Don’t Forget There Is Still A Trade War Between The US and Europe

Chris Temple is with us today to share his continued belief that this year is going to be very back and forth in the markets. There is no simple sector or asset that he thinks will be a no doubt trade. Also we heard from Draghi today to remind us that Europe overall is still in a lot of trouble. Part of the issues also stem from the ongoing trade war with the US.

I wonder, as markets begin to turn down, what the reaction of the Fed will be.
If Trump has his wishes I suspect the Fed to inject even more money into the system.
On the other hand if the Fed has anti-trump bias and left-wing socialist leanings, then it might chose to hold a position against Trump and the US economy to further political goals by continuing with further tightening.

Specifically commenting on Mr. Temple’s agricultural comments….
While I believe his political commentary about the EU hatred of GM foods is correct, I also believe that changes in weather patterns towards colder temperatures is such that given the choice between lack of food and accepting Genetically Modified food that the EU will allow import (but not growing) of GM food.
