Has Joe Biden had a recent mini stroke?
I notice in his speech yesterday he was slurring words slightly.
Of course, he could have had a little too much alcohol.

U.S. citizens will not tolerate a green new deal. It could not be implemented in any practical way sufficiently quickly, that an election would not occur during implementation, causing a reversal of policy.

      May 04, 2019 04:42 AM

I have not noticed that in Biden’s speech.

        May 04, 2019 04:44 AM

Actually Joe Biden does not really interest me as a potential candidate anymore. David Horowitz actually make so much sense to me that I am going to stick with Trump. How about you CFS?

My initial thoughts about Biden is that possible he could get the country working together as a single unit again. I have totally changed my mind about this simply because I am convinced that he is truly now part of the problem.

Biden sold out a long time ago………a total washing out of just about 90% of congress is a necessity …..if, anyone expects to return to the American Way of life…..

I thought the term Anti-Semite was misleading but after a bit of research if found that Anti-Semite is actually a correct term in that it includes all the descendants of Noah “Descendants of Shem”. A more accurate term would be Anti-Human. The globalist pro Satan luciferin agenda is definitely anti-Human and anti-Christian. This is aligned with the false religion of Islam. Both are pushing the anti-human pro-slavery pro-pedophile agenda.

The economy is better than the main Stream media indicates.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrGLGN4CHvE

But…..the weak spot in Modern Monetary Theory is liquidity.
It will be possible to expand the economy (despite generating inflation, which will happen) in order to make the debt LESS relevent, but as the economy expands at a greater pace than debt, it will be necessary to raise the debt ceiling.
With a Democrat controlled House, it is possible to cause problems by not raising the debt ceiling, causing liquidity problems.

The following are 19 facts about our current economic performance that should deeply disturb all of us…

#1 In April, U.S. auto sales were down 6.1 percent. That was the worst decline in 8 years.

#2 The number of mortgage applications has fallen for four weeks in a row.

#3 We just witnessed the largest crash in luxury home sales in about 9 years.

#4 Existing home sales have now fallen for 13 months in a row.

#5 In March, total residential construction spending was down 8.4 percent from a year ago.

#6 U.S. manufacturing output was down 1.1 percent during the first quarter of this year.

#7 Farm incomes are falling at the fastest pace since 2016.

#8 Wisconsin dairy farmers are going bankrupt “in record numbers”.

#9 Apple iPhone sales are falling at a “record pace”.

#10 Facebook’s profits have declined for the first time since 2015.

#11 We just learned that CVS will be closing 46 stores.

#12 Office Depot has announced that they will be closing 50 locations.

#13 Overall, U.S. retailers have announced more than 6,000 store closings so far in 2019, and that means we have already surpassed the total for all of last year.

#14 A shocking new study has discovered that 137 million Americans have experienced “medical financial hardship in the past year”.

#15 Credit card charge-offs at U.S. banks have risen to the highest level in nearly 7 years.

#16 Credit card delinquencies have risen to the highest level in almost 8 years.

#17 More than half a million Americans are homeless right now.

#18 Homelessness in New York City is the worst that it has ever been.

#19 Nearly 102 million Americans do not have a job right now. That number is worse than it was at any point during the last recession.

That is not a very robust picture of the economy despite all the pundits chest-beating about how healthy and strong the economic picture is.

There is sickness under the surface and many early warning signs covered up by a juiced up stock market where only a few high flyers are holding the index up, but the breadth is shrinking. There are many stocks in the general indexes putting in 52 week lows as Dana Lyons mentioned earlier in the week.

The most promoted and and by extension most rigged indicators include GDP, unemployment, and inflation. I would include stock markets to a point in this list, but as I’ve always said, stocks are a trailing indicator and never tell us accurately when an economic crash is taking place. If anything, stocks are and always have been a placebo for the masses, a psychological crutch meant to lull them to sleep while the crash begins. Other than that, they have no value in determining the health of the system. As a lagging indicator, we will cover stocks at the end of this analysis.

        Thanks very much Jerry.

I kind of figured that something was drastically wrong because I recently shut down my consulting business in order to simplify my reporting requirements to the various taxation authorities. In order to do this in a “clean” manner I had to reshuffle some assets and also some liabilities. What I thought would be a simple and fairly quick procedure turned out to take about 90 days because of all the requirements and gyrations of Well Fargo. I finally got the deal done and hurt absolutely no one financially.

About two months into my efforts, it became very obvious to me that there is something very wrong with both the institutional and consumer side of the American economy.

e.g. In a society which has open borders and has a population expanding at over a million per year, do you expect homelessness to increase or decrease?

        Wisconsin farmers going bankrupt?
Didn’t Canada jjust raise import Tariffs, supposed to protect Canadian farmers, cutting milk imports dramatically.

Luxury Home sales plummet…..What do you expect after the Fed raised interest rates for the first time in many years?

The 19 or so “stats” reproduced are just not indicative of the real economy.

Why do people keep insisting that the U.S. was founded on christianity?
Are they honestly that ignorant of history?
    Was Adams wrong?

So Horowitz hates Muslems because Muslems hate infidels.

Muslems hate Israel because its a democracy, is that what Bush said? They hate us for our freedoms? Laughable.

Muslems cant stand Israel Mr Horowitz because the Zionists of Israel are committing a genocide supported by the U.S. and Britain etc

It has nothin to do with democracy or freedoms.

Health care takes away freedom? Really?

I live in Canada, should I need health care I get it without concern altho I may have to wait for specialists.

It all depends on what the meaningof “is” is…..doesn’t it?
Be very careful with semantics when trying to make a point.

You quote John Adams, in stating the U.S. is not founded on the Christian religion.
True, we are guaranteed religious freedom.
However the U.S. was founded by Christians, and, WHETHER STATED OR NOT, the U.S. is based on Judeo-Christian ethics and morals, not those those of intolerant Islam.

As I recall the First “thanksgiving”, the aboriginals did not object.

Later, politicians got involved and changed things. As often, greed and a ‘might makes right’ attitude changed the nature of the U.S. forever.

But then, again, when the true history of the U.S. is eventually written, we will probably find aboriginal “mis-conduct”.
Already we know the Clovis people were NOT the original inhabitants of North America.
Genetic studies are re-writing the history considerably.
We know the first 100,000 years is NOT in the historical textbooks.
Much civilization, like the Mammoths and mega-fauna, was wiped out by Ice ages, and we are now only beginning to learn the true history.

Morning b, I would say that the ideal concepts of America were created using Judeo-Christian principals. By this I mean that our Constitution is a pretty “fair to all” document. Unfortunately that is being changed as I write this comment.

        May 04, 2019 04:06 AM

If you consider fairness and honesty to be derived from Judeo-Christian principles I think that, in a sense you might be a bit off base. Comments?

      May 04, 2019 04:06 AM

The Founding Fathers were not religious men, and they fought hard to erect, in Thomas Jefferson’s words, “a wall of separation between church and state.” John Adams opined that if they were not restrained by legal measures, Puritans–the fundamentalists of their day–would “whip and crop, and pillory and roast.” The historical epoch had afforded these men ample opportunity to observe the corruption to which established priesthoods were liable, as well as “the impious presumption of legislators and rulers,” as Jefferson wrote, “civil as well as ecclesiastical, who, being themselves but fallible and uninspired men, have assumed dominion over the faith of others, setting up their own opinions and modes of thinking as the only true and infallible, and as such endeavoring to impose them on others, hath established and maintained false religions over the greatest part of the world and through all time.”

If we define a Christian as a person who believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ, then it is safe to say that some of the key Founding Fathers were not Christians at all. Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and Tom Paine were deists–that is, they believed in one Supreme Being but rejected revelation and all the supernatural elements of the Christian Church; the word of the Creator, they believed, could best be read in Nature. John Adams was a professed liberal Unitarian, but he, too, in his private correspondence seems more deist than Christian.

        PCR writes a good article.

The first slaves brought to the North American British colonies were white. As Don Jordan and Michael Walsh document in White Cargo: The Forgotten History of Britain’s White Slaves in America (New York University Press, 2007), the first slaves were white children. Beginning in 1618, the authorities in London began sweeping up urchins from the slums and shipping them to the colonies. “They were sold to planters to work in the fields and half of them were dead within a year. Shipments of children continued from England and then from Ireland for decades.”

Undesirables—convicts, prostitutes, beggars, Quakers, Catholics—were pressed into slavery and sold in the colonies.

How many people ya think know that? (for example)https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/05/03/white-people-will-be-rubbed-out-along-with-their-history/

As I was speaking with David I thought of you, b, and was pretty sure that you would make a comment like you did.

Here is my response. At least David’s Freedom Center for the most part stresses conservative ideals which I respect. I also think that he effectively points out the dangers inherent with the Progressive Movement in
      America.

In my mind these dangers are led by the total lack of moral values which it espouses. This lack started with Bill Clinton and his acceptance by the American public.

I also don’t have a huge fear of Israel as some folks do. As I have said numerous times in the past, I do think the country does flex its muscle perhaps a bit too strongly at times. But then again, they make sure that their enemies “know the devil that they face”. Remember that many Muslims subscribe to the idea that Israel does not have the right to exist and the way to accomplish this is to eradicate all the people. (Remember that this was tried before in the late thirties an part of the forties.)

I respect many of the principles that he pushes. A great example of this is seen in the video that Cory will shortly publish which accurately summarizes the Mueller investigation and most everything surrounding it.

        Let’s break that down, Al.

“”Remember that many Muslims subscribe to the idea that Israel does not have the right to exist” — I think you are correct here.

“and the way to accomplish this is to eradicate all the people.” — Can you provide some examples other than the blatant mis-quotes of Ahmadinejad?

“(Remember that this was tried before in the late thirties an part of the forties.)”

Probably just a lie, Al. That plenty died, sure. That it was a project “to eradicate all the people”? Propaganda from the Synagogue of Satan.

Six million? Probably more like a couple. But of course, that’s much more important than the 60 million Christians that were killed, by the mechanations of that same Synagogue of Satan, aka the bankers who finagled and financed the World Wars.

The frustrating thing with dialogues here, Al, is that facts seem largely irrelevant. Regardless of info presented that ought to impact views, it seldom does.

I put my hope in millenials whose thinking is not yet ossified. They deserve better than they’ve gotten, but they have to keep playing the cards they’ve been dealt by their elders who can’t see their way out of the predicament they’ve blundered into.

Just more info on the economy……
When looking at the health of an economic system it is impossible to gauge growth or stability by only taking two or three indicators into account. The problem is, this is exactly what central banks and governments tend to do. In fact, governments and central banks wildly and deliberately promote certain indicators as the signals everyone should care about while ignoring a whole host of other fundamentals that do not fit their “recovery” narrative. When these few chosen indicators don’t read well either, they rig the numbers in their favor.

      May 04, 2019 04:26 PM

The most promoted and and by extension most rigged indicators include GDP, unemployment, and inflation. I would include stock markets to a point in this list, but as I’ve always said, stocks are a trailing indicator and never tell us accurately when an economic crash is taking place. If anything, stocks are and always have been a placebo for the masses, a psychological crutch meant to lull them to sleep while the crash begins. Other than that, they have no value in determining the health of the system. As a lagging indicator, we will cover stocks at the end of this analysis.

I assume by “rigged” you mean less meaningful, because the true inflation adjustment is not totally correct.

That does NOT mean the trend (month over month change or quarter over quarter change) is not highly meaningful.

Unless you are trying to imply there is a deliberate incorrect reporting of the raw data.
I do not believe the raw data is incorrectly reported. There are assumptions made, which are problematic….like birth/death modelling, but it is always applied the same way, so month to month variations are dependable.
(Bearing in mind they can be volatile due to weather, port strikes, tariff changes, etc.

If you go to the Temple University Study, instead of reading the headlines, you will find this statement:

“The movement has largely focused on community and state colleges, as there are more low-income students who attend them. Hunger can force students to drop out of school to work more, which inhibits academic success, said Nicholas Freudenberg, a distinguished professor at CUNY’s Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. Another ramification is an increase in student loans to cover living expenses, Dr. Goldrick-Rab said. (National student debt now totals about $1.5 trillion.) ”

Here is some details on the farmers……..
    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-05-01/boon-times-auction-houses-american-farmers-go-bankrupt
In an earlier report, our analysis of federal data showed the number of farmers across the Midwest filing for bankruptcy soared to its highest level in a decade. Now it seems some of those farmers are closing up shop, liquidating machinery and land, all to stem financial pressure, a dozen or so farm-equipment auction houses

      May 04, 2019 04:02 PM

The collapse of multi-generational family farms has sent bankruptcies in the Midwest to ten-year highs.

“Bankruptcies in three regions covering major farm states last year rose to the highest level in at least 10 years. The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, had double the bankruptcies in 2018 compared with 2008.

I don’t know about the accuracy of Zerohedge. !!!!! Normally a trusted source.

Chapter 12 total farm filings in 2018 totaled 498 and were DOWN approx1 percent, or three filings, from the 2017 calendar year.
This agrees with recent Farm Bureau analysis that revealed that Chapter 12 bankruptcy filings were lower when comparing filings from fiscal year 2017 to fiscal year 2018 (Google Farm Bureau,Chapter 12 Bankruptcies Lower Across Farm Country)
Statistics from the U.S. Courts also show Chapter 12 filings during 2018 were down slightly from the 10-year average of 504 bankruptcies per year.

    Source:
    https://www.uscourts.gov/statistics-reports/caseload-statistics-data-tables

    There’s statistics and damned statistics…….again.

There are two extra factors I should include:

Since the statistics are low in volume that it is possible to pick some states, Wisconsin and Michigan and leave out Ohio, and get the rate of bankruptcies to appear to increase, presumably because of bad weather or marginal land (I don’t know the cause.)

Second, there is a reduction of the total number of farms each year because bigger farms are swallowing small family farms every year.

There also were changes in death taxes under Obama.
I do not have capability of investigating that effect, but presumably it would tend to increase bankruptcies after a death in the family ownership.

My impression is statistically the changes are negligible and don’t deserve any headlines either way….changes are down in the noise.

I have no way from my limited search of singling out “multi-generational farms”, but would assume the death taxes changes to be most responsible for bankruptcies.

If the price of agricultural land in The US has been going up to supply The Chinese market and now with China not buying some Canadian and US agricultural products in retaliation for Huawei, we should start seeing the smaller farm banks in The US start to fold. In Canada the farmers can’t sell canola to China and last week there was another agricultural product added to the list. Prices of farm property leap when times are good and farmers take out billions based upon exaggerated land values. When agricultural prices drop farmers cannot get enough money from their crops to pay the increased valuation of their mortgages. Farm banks are pushed to the wall trying to get the farmer’s money, the end result is bankruptcy. Cheap money floats around finds a home, builds a bubble and then bursts. It destroys all who don’t understand the perils of debt. We live in a bubble economy where all segments of society get destroyed eventually, until the ultimate crash. DT

The number of cows varied also. They increased the number over the years, but other than increasing land values and producing most of their food and fruit for sale, I don’t think they made much of a profit.

    1. Washington State will allow human body composting

It doesn’t get much greener than this.

Staking his presidential run on climate change, the Governor of Washington is set to sign a bill legalizing composting of deceased humans.

An especially high percentage of the deceased in Washington are cremated, so this alternative will cut down on carbon emissions.

Instead, family members can pay around $5,500 to turn their loved ones into compost, and use the composted-remains to plant a tree.

Hell, why not throw it right into the vegetable garden. Then your loved ones become a part of you.

Friendly reminder though, soylent green is people.

    2. Satanic Temple gets tax-exempt status

Surely a sign that the end times are nigh, the Satanic Temple has successfully gained tax exempt status like any other religion.

The thing is, they aren’t really all about worshipping Satan.

The church was founded as a bit of a joke. The group is meant to protest the meddling of government and religion.

For instance, if government functions start with a prayer, they want to open with a prayer to Satan. And if a courthouse lawn has a ten commandments statue, they want Lucifer spreading his wings right there beside it.

And now they have forced the government to recognize them as a religion, with all the tax exemptions that come with it.

Look at who approves the 501c3. IRS
So, if you have a tax exempt church or a tax exempt “educational organization, you can speak the truth.
That’s why most of these 501c3 organizations are just shills. They play the controlled opposition game very well.

That whole game will be exposed and over soon.

    Can’t* speak the truth.

Founding Father Samuel Adams—who, in one the darkest hours of his nation’s birth, when all was still uncertain, stirred to passion his nation’s citizens with these unforgettable words that now echo through time: “If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

The “inter-nationalism” Francis Lieber issued his dire warnings about, today we know as “globalism”—a centralist political ideology that seeks to accumulate all power in the state and deprive it from ordinary people—and beginning in the 1970’s, saw the shocking rise in America of the “political fanatics” who supported globalist-centralism and saw them beginning their “intelligent and formulated with great precision” assault upon everything Lieber warned about—best documented by Harvard University historian-professor Jill Lepore, Ph.D.—and in whose seminal book titled “These Truths—A History Of The United States”, warningly declared and asked:

In the 1970s, studying the nation fell out of favor in the American historical profession.

Most historians started looking at either smaller or bigger things, investigating the experiences and cultures of social groups or taking the broad vantage promised by global history.
