The president received a single 8 gram dose of Regeneron’s polyclonal antibody cocktail as a precautionary measure, according to a memo from White House physician Dr. Sean Conley. The antibody cocktail is being studied in four late-stage clinical trials and its safety and efficacy have not been fully evaluated by any regulatory authority.

Trump is in Walter Reed. Watching this disease, and yes it is a disease, he has had Covid-19 for more than 2 days. They probably knew that he was infected Tuesday night but since he doesn’t care who he hurts the White House said nothing.
I have watched the Covid deniers here and in the population at large for months and have kept my mouth shut. What proof do people need that we have a real mess on our hands? The 2nd wave of Covid is coming and sadly it won’t just be the anti-science Covid deniers who die.

Trump was probably infected last weekend. Unlike Biden, Trump has not been locked in his basement but has had an election campaign that would tire Superman. Since the system start out very similar to the common, almost no one assumes they have covid-19 at first.
But for his daily testing, Trump would probably still not think he had the disease.
With regard to the second wave: Yes, it is coming, but it will be totally different from the first wave. While the numbers infected may be similar, the death rate will be minimal; essentially negligible.

COVID-19 It is not the seasonal flu. Most cases and deaths came after the flu season pretty much ended. The spike in cases and deaths in my county occurred in late April – early May. And while it is true that no mask will completely protect you from the virus, masks do help to limit the spread of the virus. That is the purpose of wearing a mask. It is not so much to protect you but to help limit the spread to protect others. The exception is for N95 respirators which are made more specifically to help protect the wearer.

justtruth, just for the record, you are incorrect in saying covid-19 is a seasonal flu.
If you look at its structure, the SARS-2 virus consists of an RNA strand of 614 amino-acids modified from a known bat corona virus in several places. In particular it has two sites which can attach to ACE2 receptor sites in humans and one which can attach to a CD134 site. As such, this makes it both more infective than common flu and potentially long-term more damaging. It has been undergoing mutations…..about one mutation per month has shown up. None of the mutations so far have affected lethality , although the current mutation prevalent in the USA appears slightly more infective than the dominant mutation in Europe. The primary reason the lethality has decreased by an order of magnitude, is that the world has ramped up sharply on effective treatments of the disease.
There are approximately 30 different tests being used worldwide. Your statement regarding 94% false positives is several months out of date, and tests have dramatically improved.
Chris Martenson has a youtube on the accuracy of PCR tests. (The problem being that with sufficient thermal cycles one can almost always eventually get a positive, and some labs are using too many cycles.)

With regard to masks, there is increasing statistical evidence that the viral load is decreased by mask-wearing.
There is substantial variation in mask quality, however.

Not only that but wearing a mask also decreases the distance that the virus particles travel. They tend to come out the areas around the mask and not so much straight through.

Both the Prez and his wife have mild symptoms: A slight cough and a headache.
In terms of being most infectious, that is typically for about 4 or 5 days….from the day before first symptoms to about 3 or 4 days after symptoms start.
Melatonin is a weak ionophore, I believe, so that should enable zinc to pass though cell walls.
Trump should rest more. It worried me that the President had appeared tired to me for over a week.
