Its been over 60 yearssince I took a history class, but I seem to recall Texas seceding from Mexico to be its own country. Then Mexico invaded and after the Alamo and all that Texas joined the Union.
But in the dim recedsses of my memory, I seem to recall Texas stating it retained the right to secede from the U.S. if circumstances made it necessary.
I wonder if Texas will try ? They are big enough to be a counry. They have sea access.
Never happen. Texas is being Californicated as is Arizona, Idaho, etc. Give it time and nearly all states will.
