Tim Johnson, President and CEO of Granite Creek Copper (TSX.V:GCX – OTC:GCXXF) joins me to provide more information on the growth plans this year at the Company’s copper project, the Carmacks and Carmacks North Property in Yukon. With a current resource of 440million pounds of contained copper the Company has a goal to greatly expand the resource to over 1billion pounds of contained copper. This is the first year that the Carmacks and Carmacks North Properties are in one Company’s control, after the acquisition of Carmacks North late in 2020.

If you have any follow up questions for Tim regarding any of the aspects of the Company please email me at Fleck@kereport.com.

Great review guys. I’m excited to see how the exploration work goes this year and how the resource at Carmacks and Carmacks North grows over time. Granite Creek is still flying under the radar considering the size of the Copper resource already in place, but as that grows, then they should be getting more eyeballs following their story in the year to come.

I don’t own it, but would like to pick up some share at some point.

Well GCX pulled back a bit today, on the back of their financing news, so if there is any further weakness tomorrow, I may add a bit more to my position, as Dr Copper’s recent rise has been relentless.

Thanks Ex. Did you ever pull the trigger on Nova Royalty? Also are you still holding on to any Golden Valley shares?

            Feb 22, 2021 22:51 PM

Hi Charles. No I haven’t pulled the trigger on Nova Royalty yet, as it just ran too far too fast for me, and then when I thought it may have a chance of pulling back, Copper shot up higher and it’s been bought back up. It looks fantastic and I’m a fan of Copper/Nickel and the team from Metalla backing Nova.

Yes, I’m still holding a small position in Golden Valley, waiting for the time the market puts together they have nearly half of Abitibi Royalties, and many other JVs and a few other NSRs on other development projects that should give GZZ the premium valuation over RZZ.

            Feb 23, 2021 23:46 AM

Thanks. I hold a small position in both. Hard to get a handle on the technicals for GZZ. At least with my broker software, The chart does not show history prior to their share consolidation. Metallic looks like it is ready to roll.

Copper Price Soars Past $9,000 In Record Run

    Mining.com | February 22, 2021

“Copper kept its momentous run going on Monday, now closing in on an all-time high set in 2011, as investors bet that supply tightness will increase as the world recovers from the covid-19 pandemic.”

“Since its nadir last March, copper prices have nearly doubled, boosted by rapidly tightening physical markets, prospects for rebounding economic growth and the expectation that a years-long era of low inflation in key economies may be ending.”

Copper price keeps soaring as bullish sentiment prevails

    Mining.com – February 19, 2021

“While copper’s ascent may be an indicator of higher demand, some market analysts believe it may have been squeezed on the supply side too.”

β€œYou have to remember that commodities like copper are built by both the supply and the demand story. The supply story in copper actually is part of the problem here,” Gina Sanchez, CEO of Chantico Global and chief market strategist at Lido Advisors, told CNBC in an interview.

Sanchez said “reduced production in Peru, which services demand in top consumer China, may have driven copper prices higher.”

“Citigroup analysts have pinned the global copper deficit at about 500,000 tonnes starting this year, according to Bloomberg.”

Hi EX…Do you think Copper , could be the next Paladium.?…..Just a fun question.

        Feb 22, 2021 22:25 PM

BTW….I have a one kilo bar of pure copper……..Does that mean i could be filthy rich sometime in the future……………………………..LOL

          Feb 22, 2021 22:30 PM

Everyone will be stripping the houses out for the wire and plumbing…..if, copper goes that high…. like palladium ………. πŸ™‚
Thieves are already, stealing the cars for their mufflers…. πŸ™‚

            Feb 22, 2021 22:51 PM

Hi Jerry…..An irish pikey friend of mine, who lives in your neck of the woods , was asking if i knew your address…Not sure why………………………………………………………….lol

            Feb 22, 2021 22:56 PM

            Did you tell him…… I am a dealer in lead…. πŸ™‚

        Feb 22, 2021 22:51 PM

If you are going to be an alky – cooking illegal bootlegger you need a copper still, there will always be gangsters in American life and corrupt politicians paid for by the sources from illegal booze. You can’t have a whiskey operation with platinum or palladium! LOL! DT

          Feb 22, 2021 22:59 PM

DT – That’s a valid point in Copper’s favor over Platinum & Palladium. Haha!

        Feb 22, 2021 22:58 PM

Hi IrishT. I’ve been really impressed with Dr Copper moving up with $4 handle in the last few days, and because it is part of the reflation trade, the EV / Battery narrative, and the theme of the electrification of the developing world. On a percentage basis, I’d expect Copper to keep outperforming Palladium, like it has the last few months, as Palladium has had one heck of a move already.

I really like both and have a nice basket of both Copper and Palladium/Platinum stocks, but based on your comment, about your one kilo bar of copper, I may buy a swimming pool and start filling it with pennies, just to keep stacking… πŸ™‚

          Feb 22, 2021 22:01 PM

Ex, you will need my tommy gun to protect your stash. DT

            Feb 22, 2021 22:10 PM

A tommy gun is a Thomson Sub Machine Gun.

            Feb 22, 2021 22:10 PM

Sounds good DT. I may mount it as an infrared motion-controlled Tommy Gun, around the pool full of pennies, just to keep out anyone that tries to lay hands on my copper stash. πŸ™‚

Then again, I may just hire Irish & OOTB to stand next to it, and keep out the riff-raff. I read up above that Jerry is a Lead dealer, so that may come in handy in the bullets department.

            Feb 22, 2021 22:28 PM

I have been looking for a lifeguard position at a friendly pool…..
As, long as I do not have to wear a mask, …I can work cheap… πŸ™‚

            Feb 22, 2021 22:54 PM

Sounds good OOTB. Yes, no masks, you supply the lead for DTs tommy gun, and every day you get two big scoops of pennies out of the pool. I want you to be able to keep stacking Copper as well. It’s a team effort… lol.

    Feb 22, 2021 22:03 PM

Ah no Jerry, i forgot that bit , Sod him, i dound really like him anyway………………….

      Feb 22, 2021 22:37 PM

Sorry, I was over at Alex Jones……Info wars……
