Mr. Moriarty’s opinion is very similar to mine.
I have only one slight worry.
Putin had claimed he was only interested in taking the two breakaway regions of Ukraine in the South-east, which Russia took quite easily.
Hoever, Putin did not stop then……….this worries me. ………Why try to take Kiev….Why move up Nukes ?
It could be to install his own puppet government in Ukraine, but it could also be that Putin wants for Russia the bread basket of Eurasia and its agricultural production.

After being pushed to far, Putin has little choice but to fight back hard. If he stopped with just securing the regions in the east, the west would not accept that. The west would not offer to never have Ukraine join NATO. The argument that the west has been the aggressor has to be at least considered. The press is trying to claim Putin is losing it; didn’t they use that same fabricated story about Trump? Putin has NOT deployed all of his military to crush Ukraine as the west war machine would do. He has a lot of cards yet to play.

I believe that to be an inference from Putin’s actions, not a statement of Putin.
