Don’t know about you Ebo, but I live in a pretty nice place – it’s called America. Been to over 60 other countries, none, not even the “Nordic” countries, Germany, UK, or Switzerland compare. I concede, it is getting worse – I hate the waste, hate the corruption, the crime, the loss of sovereignty, and I hate the idiocy, but there is a price that must be paid to protect what we have and the rights that allowed America to become a pretty good place. Alliances of like-minded and capable partners will be essential to survival. Ever been to places where there is no 911 to call, or no good guy to stop a bad guy? I have, they suck. Eddy – And it is pretty nice, much better than Washington State with the exception of the scenery. SO do you live in and around SAC, I think you asked if my dad was a cop, yes, in Sac Sherriff’s dept though, 30 years, but no buildings named after him. I grew up in Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Folsom.
Well, I bet the summers aren’t better with the humidity. I used to live in Sac but that was over two decades ago. I probably wouldn’t even recognize it now. A lot of people from the Bay Area moved there when housing got unaffordable in the Bay Area.

Musk has an agenda, bigger than most humans ever – I know very well his portfolio, and how he has bilked the US tax-payer for much of his success. But he also sees the world in very different terms than most corrupt industrialists. He fills a consumer need, on a budget, is anti-union, he fears AI, is a strong defender of free speech (allowed Putin and Russian media when there was pressure to sensor on Starlink) and watched the results of socialism in his home country. He is not our savior, but we need more like him.
Maybe you can smoke some weed with Elon as well.
They gave Elon tax free land and incentives for his government subsidized manufacturing plants and cars so the locals that worked at the restaurant could no longer afford rent. Now they are on their way to Seattle.

I can appreciate that, even if I wouldn’t sit down for a toke with him.

I am in Central Minnesota and it was 25 degrees today. Planting is at least two weeks behind normal.
North Dakota has had two blizzards in less than two weeks and there are reports now of flooding.
I will be hauling fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, and fungusides to fields for the next three months.

I use to think the Japanese were a bunch of very smart people. I can remember when everything was made in Japan. Then I watched Fukashima blow up, along with my portfolio, only to find out the emergency generators were below sea level.
