Do you realize the U.S. has more than THREE TIMES the gun owners in the whole of Europe that have NEVER committed any illegal act ? (82 million vs. 26 million)
Yes,it is harder to obtain a gun in Europe than the U.S., but the problem is NOT SPECIFICALLY GUNS, but a sick society.

I would have little problem with a requirement for gun-owning permits being required like driving licenses; and for assault rifle permits more like truck drivers permits.
