Watching this last night made me tear up – heartbreaking. But the cowardice, confusion, lack of leadership, disfunctional tactics just weeks after training shows a much deeper problem than a crazy with a tool (gun). And the door was not even locked to the room.
More than evil was at play – my view, someone (the Beto supporting police chief, maybe) thought a hostage situation may help their gun confiscation politics, but it turned into 19 dead children and a couple teachers.
The shooter is gulity, but the security system we all depend on failed these children. The police cowards need to resign, their leaders need to face a public trial.
The cops come after the crime. Prepare to protect yourselves and your families.
