House prices always strongly inversely correlate with interest rates, so if we have one of the fastest interest rate increases, we will have one of the fastest house price drops.
I am concerned about the aftershock of a major housing drop. This would absolutely kill parts of the economy.
Meat price and grain prices will inflate: the former because of culling of cows and chickens due to feed cost. Chicken prices will turn quickly, but beef will not.
Grain prices were affected by weather and the war in Ukraine. Production lost will not be replaced, because consumption currently about matches production.
There is room to increase production in the U.S., except the government is still insanely paying for land to be taken out of production.
