California Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered most California schools closed to start the 2020-2021 school year.
Two decades of educational gains were wiped out in two years, new test scores in math and reading show. The drop was greatest among black students.
The headlines will say “the pandemic” caused this, but that’s not quite right. COVID-19 has left a terrible trail of death and illness, but the coronavirus is not the cause of the learning loss. It was the local politicians, governors, school boards, and public health authorities who harmed our children by advocating or mandating unjustifiable school closures in the fall of 2020 — and then into the spring.
Those school closures were a mistake, and the people in charge knew or should have known it at the time. The damage to students (academic, emotional, and social) was obvious to every parent after the three-month closure in early 2020. Children’s relative safety in the face of the virus was also well-known by the fall of 2020.
The people who nonetheless closed the schools bear full blame for the lasting harm they have done to children. All of them should lose their jobs.
The math decline was almost three times as great for black students as for white students. Hispanic students were in the middle. This is totally unsurprising, as black students were far more likely to be stuck in remote learning by uncaring bureaucrats and administrators and lazy teachers unions. In November 2020, 70% of black students and 60% of Hispanic students were remote, compared to 40% of white students, surveys found.
Peggy Carr, the commissioner of the National Center for Education Statistics, pointed to many factors that could drive the learning loss, and the Washington Post listed them: “Other studies have shown a rise in classroom disruption, school violence , absenteeism , cyberbullying, and teacher and staff vacancies , and schools also say more students are seeking mental health services.”
All of those are fruits of the lockdowns, too. If you kick the children out of school, outlaw Little League, shut down their playgrounds and basketball courts, and scold them not to hang out with their friends, you are harming them. It’s no surprise, but unsocializing children produces antisocial effects on them. Yet those of us who resisted the unnecessary closures were accused of selfishly wanting to get children and teachers (or their grandparents) killed.
Masks also likely interfered with learning, as anyone who has spent time teaching children can tell you. Yet school mask mandates remain in place despite a lack of evidence that masks are beneficial for children.
Sometimes, it’s hard to believe that people in charge would knowingly harm children for no good reason. But looking now, as the predictable harms of the school closures become evident, we must assign blame to the school boards, county officials, and state officials who did this to our children, in addition to the media figures, public health officials, and union bosses who lobbied for this.

Perhaps Biden forgot that 69% of voters nationwide cast their ballot nontraditionally i.e., by mail and/or before Election Day for the 2020 elections. Mail votes are highly vulnerable to fraud.
Biden also alleged that the “MAGA forces” are aligned with white supremacists, violent extremists, and other undesirables.
Perhaps Biden forgot violent Democrat extremists threatening Supreme Court Justices, vandalizing Catholic churches, pregnancy centers, and the offices of pro-life groups. There was an assassination plot against Justice Brett Kavanaugh,
Biden also accused “MAGA Republicans” of seeing a country consumed in “darkness.”
Perhaps Biden forgot that his misgovernance is the sole cause of darkness.
The open borders have caused an influx of illegal immigrants, some of whom are violent criminals. More than 4.9 million illegal migrants have crossed the southern border.
The smuggling of illicit drugs across the border is a regular occurrence. There were an estimated 100,306 drug overdose deaths in the United States during the 12-month period ending in April 2021, an increase of 28.5% during the same period the year before.
Inflation is at a very high 8.5 percent, causing the price of essential items to skyrocket. The price of fuels continues to be high.
The crime wave is ravaging the nation and Democrat judges refuse to prosecute misdemeanors such as drug possession, driving offenses, disturbing the peace, shoplifting, larceny, domestic violence, etc.
None of Biden-backed initiatives such as the Inflation Reduction Bill or the infrastructure bill or his climate initiative or pardoning Student Loans will reduce people’s suffering, in fact, wasteful spending will make inflation worse.
Biden’s ‘gun safety’ red flag laws allowed instant confiscation of guns on mere suspicion; this endangers lives, especially considering the crime wave.
Biden has thus not only taken the nation into darkness but his misgovernance will blacken the darkness even further.
Biden perfunctorily claimed that “not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans; not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology.”
If that were indeed the case, and the MAGA movement was just a small minority, why did Biden base his entire speech on an insignificant minority?
This was an attempt to distinguish between the Good Republicans (Lincoln Project, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and company) vs the Bad Republicans (Trump and the MAGA GOP). The truth is the “Good Republicans” are useful idiots, who will instantly become bad if they dare to run against Democrats.
Most Americans disapprove of Biden; that number is likely to rise after his hateful rhetoric.
The purpose of the address was to demonize, dehumanize and otherize Donald Trump and his supporters, which would justify any kind of persecution by government agencies.
This also creates grounds for the Democrats to reject the outcome of the midterms should the GOP, particularly the MAGA GOP win by a landslide. They could claim to stand against fascist forces. The Democrats have broken every immutable norm in recent times; they already attempted to overthrow the 2016 election; they could very well do this for the midterms.
But there is a silver lining.
Despite claims that the speech would be apolitical, Biden delivered a campaign speech. However, it wasn’t for the Democrats it was instead for the Republicans and Donald Trump.

Romans 8:1-11
Sharing in the the life of Christ
Paul’s letter to the Romans can be divided into three major parts: a presentation of the gospel (chapters 1-8), the place of Israel in God’s plan (chapters 9-11) and exhortations for Christian living (chapters 12-15). Chapter 8 comes near the end of Paul’s explanation of the gospel. It is the climax, and the truths that Paul discusses are astounding.
No condemnation!
The chapter begins with an astonishing statement: “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death” (verses 1-2).
Because of what Christ has done, believers are not counted guilty and will not be punished on the day of judgment. We sin, but there is no condemnation. (If we didn’t sin, the question of condemnation wouldn’t even come up.) Paul knows that we sin, so he is saying, there is no eternal punishment for Christians even though they sin.
Hard to believe? Yes, because we know that sin deserves to be punished. Paul agrees, but the gospel announces that Christ has taken our sins, and the consequences, on himself. He has punished sin itself. He has experienced the consequences of sin, and escaped, so that we can also escape. On behalf of all humanity, Christ has experienced the results of our sins, so there is no further condemnation waiting for us. If we trust him, if our lives are in him, we do not need to be afraid. Sin has physical penalties in this life, but for those who are in Christ, it has no ultimate penalty for us.
Why? Because Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death, set us free from the only law that could possibly condemn us. The law that says, “Those who sin shall die,” no longer applies to us, because it has been taken care of — completely. We died with Christ, and it is no longer we who sin, but it’s the sinful nature inside of us that does it (7:17). It will die, and we who are in Christ will live eternally.
God does not want us to sin, but even if we sin, we will not be condemned because of what Jesus has done for us. The law could not give us eternal life, but God could, and he did it through the death of Christ. “For what the law was powerless to do [that is, to give life] because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh” (Romans 8:3).
Jesus did not come to condemn sinners — he came to condemn sin. He came to take away its power to control us and kill us. He came to give us life, and to do it in such a way that “the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us” (verse 4). In his life and in his death, Jesus satisfied all the requirements of the law, both its commands and its penalties. It cannot demand anything more.
Good, however it’s not an excuse for your false teaching and disregarding scriptures fabricating lies.
Quoting any scriptures doesn’t change the other scriptures that you’re trying to disregard, it doesn’t change anything and those are all lies that you fabricate.
