It goes without saying that politics is a nasty enterprise.
The political process generally involves politicians, largely controlled by special interest groups, conspiring with one another to harm the population.
Yes, you read that correctly. Conspiring.
You see, politics is one large conspiracy. It usually involves elites hatching evil, harmful, or illegal plans developed in secret.
Groups from the World Economic Forum to the Council on Foreign Relations are notorious for serving as launchpads for globalist schemes.
Now some theories about these entities can be quite wacky but that does not take away from the fact that political elites have a tendency of getting together to craft all manner of nefarious projects.
Astute observers of politics have noticed that many of the major public policies that the chattering classes yammer on about have been openly discussed at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting and Bilderberg Meeting.
That’s how the political process operates in contemporary times. It has nothing to do with upholding the public good or democratic principles.
P.S. Politics has never been about serving the people.
It involves elites banding together to create policies that are to the detriment of the everyday person.

Where I live all the “progressive” candidates and all the “conservative” candidates for city council are pushing for the sales tax increase on the ballot. While at the same time the “progressives” claim to be for the little people and the “conservatives” claim to be for low taxes and small government. It is beyond absurd. We see inflation, but that is a symptom, NOT THE PROBLEM.
The problem is SUPPLY or availability.
We need air, water, food and shelter to live.
Looking closer: We need electricity to pump water; we need electricity to run furnaces (even gas furnaces). Above all we need oil or a derivative thereof to move goods and harvest/process foods.
Without a constant supply of electricity and oil we WILL SEE SHORTAGES. It is one thing to have to pay more for a particular item or good, it is quite another for an iten or good not to be available at any price.
Some people will experience heating problems this winter.
Some people will suffer from food shortages next year.
For several years nothing will be as readily available as it has been in the past.
You………… can pump water……..with a hand pump……… just clarification…….
but, city slickers would have a hard time figuring that one out…..
Living without power would suck, even if you did have a hand pump.
Almost everything in our lives would not exist without power.
The hand pumps with which I’m familiar have a limited lift capability.
A bucket on a rope from a well works better, unless the water depth below ground is only about 15 feet or less.

A pump that lifts water can only pump from a 32 foot depth, that is the equivalent weight of a 1 inch square water column = atmospheric pressure. Trying to lift water from a greater depth will create cavitation (voids in the water) and defeat the effort. To pump from a deeper well depth you need a submersible pump that will push the water to the surface.
But then there are artesian wells where the ground water is under an impermeable layer (like rock) and shoots up under pressure.
It’s all about oil, all the way back to Pearl Harbor. After that there was 1953 when US and UK oil operations in Iran were seized by the govt., after which the Shah was installed. Then there was the Oil Embargo of 1974, followed by the revolution in Iran in 1979-80…

Preparing for an extended life-threatening event, be it world war III or a modern Younger-Dryas-like cosmic event, assuming ALL utilities are gone, I understand it is relatively easy to store a years worth of food and water.
Where I have a problem is in cooking food and power for fans for air-filtering.
I’m ssuming an E.M.P. knocks out electricity , a month of external radio-activity.
My only thoughts for survival are solar cells plus batteries stored in Faraday cages in the bunker until after impactors or bombs are over.

The Davos crowd is either incompetent, evil or both of the above. Making our civilization more sustainable is a good goal, but going about it the way they are is impossible. Taking away our traditional sources of energy (fossil fuels) and attempting to replace them with wind and solar power is impossible (even just from the materials needed). Their intent to do this in the way they intend (ruin society then “build back better”) will result in destruction of our civilization.
Using nuclear fission could be a possible means to do this, but only after a systematic replacement were made. Nuclear fusion technology holds the most promise for a sustainable future. But Davos reason for doing this (averting climate change) is nonsense. We as a planet should be preparing for the coming ice age as we are now clearly entering the next solar – planetary orbit combination cycle.

Can any candidate ask for a manual count of the Election Ballots or does it depend on the laws of the state? That vote in New Mexico that you mention would indicate that the “FIX” is in, at least with the machines? What am I missing?
The Constitution gives each state the right to arrange elections, subject to certain Federal law non-discrimination constraints. However, notwithstanding the ACTUAL number of votes counted exceeded the Number of registered voters in some precincts, certain election boards declared the results true and valid. (It all depend who is in control and how corrupt they are.)
There are often people that are registered voters that have died and rhe election rolls are not up to date, so it is a sign of an extraordinarily high level of cheating for number of votes to exceed number of voters. But it is an indisputable sign of where an election should be declared invalid.
There were at least four and possible six states in the 2020 elections where voting was significantly statistically anomalous…..indicating probable “fixing” of the results.
Fixing an election is not easy, and takes literally thousands of corrupt individuals to do.
Historically it has been impossible to have thousands of people involved in a crime and not have significant numbers of whistleblowers.

I don’t want any of you ZH Liberals (all two of you) to get depressed. I’ve been a lifelong Republican voter (who wishes he had a Conservative alternative) and I can assure you of five things:
1. The GOP is a master at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. All you have to do is stand back and watch the magic happen. Some “leading candidate” will get caught in a far off airport bathroom stall propositioning men for a BJ before their flight to Orange County (of course it’ll be due to his “wide foot spread”). Or it’ll be a “hot mike” where he’s telling someone that once in office they’re going to make the Pope our POTUS and crucify all of the non-believers. Don’t worry, the GOP will screw it up.
2. This one you know well, the Dem’s will cheat. A Republican challenger needs to be up by at least 3-5% to truly be considered the front-runner because there are the dead, incarcerated, homeless, and mythical votes that have to be counted for the Dem.
3. The media will lie like crazy to help the Dem. Again, figure that the media provides the Liberal candidate with at least a 2% advantage. We can also count on “Conservative” Fox News to do its part to push the left-wing narrative while covered with the American flag. Let’s see how bad Fox shills for a few Democrat candidates on election night.
4. The courts are packed with left wingers so you’ll most likely win any case that goes legal. Even the Supreme Court – now much better than four years ago – can’t really be counted on. After all, 3 members of that once prestigious group are preferential appointments for “first of” accreditation rather than for competence and experience.
5. You control the vote counting. We all know what Stalin famously said, it’s not the voters that count, it’s the vote counters that matter. You folks control the vote counting and it’ll be once again very surprising to see what late night “water leaks” and “security threats” shut down vote tabulation. Of course, not everyone will go home, just the Republican monitors, the Democrat ones will stay and we’ll all be just shocked by the 2am turn around in the fortunes of Democrat candidates.
I’m seeing a lot of confidence coming from the Right, you all need to be reminded of the reality of elections in this Banana Republic known as the United States of America.

My belief is that there have been at least 3 periods of civilization on earth:
1. Pre-40,000 years ago.
2. From 40,000 BCE to 12,000BCE (The Younger Dryas event)
3. Modern era for the last 12,000 years.
