I sure hope Trump understands that if he launches a regime change operation in Venezuela, his presidency is effectively finished. A huge swath of his popular support will vanish before his eyes. After getting wiped out in the midterms, he can look forward to spending whatever time he has left in office getting impeached.
Trump is *this close* to locking in going down as a Game of Thrones-level disappointment, a squanderer of a golden opportunity to do great and much needed things for the country in favor of being a sellout to corrupt special interests.

The suspect in the shooting of two West Virginia national guard soldiers in Washington DC on the eve of Thanksgiving had been struggling with his mental health, sometimes spending “weeks on end” in isolation, as he tried to assimilate in the years since arriving in the United States, it has emerged.
According to emails obtained by the Associated Press, Rahmanullah Lakanwal’s mental health had been unravelling for years, leaving him unable to hold a job and flipping between long, dark stretches of isolation and taking sudden, weeks-long cross-country drives.
The emails reveal mounting warnings about Lakanwal, whose erratic conduct raised alarms long before last week’s attack. His behavior deteriorated so sharply that a community advocate reached out to a refugee organization for help, fearing he was becoming suicidal.
They did not, however, see any indication that Lakanwal would commit violence against another person.

Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was killed in the shooting, and Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains in critical condition. Lakanwal, 29, has been charged with first-degree murder. He was shot by another national guard member during the incident and is also hospitalized.
In Afghanistan, Lakanwal worked in a special CIA-backed Afghan army unit known as a Zero Unit. He entered the US in 2021 through Operation Allies Welcome, a Biden-era program that evacuated and resettled tens of thousands of Afghans after the chaotic US withdrawal. Many had worked alongside US troops and diplomats.
He resettled in the US with his wife and their five sons, all under the age of 12, in Bellingham, Washington, but struggled to assimilate, according to the community member.
The emails described a man who was unable to hold a steady job or commit to his English courses while he alternated between “periods of dark isolation and reckless travel”. Sometimes, he spent weeks in his “darkened room, not speaking to anyone, not even his wife or older kids”. At one point in 2023, the family faced eviction after months of not paying rent.

The Department of Homeland Security has released a statement admonishing NYC officials after cataloging nearly 7000 illegal migrants that have been released from holding facilities instead of retaining them for ICE arrest.
New York’s failure to honor ICE detainers has resulted in the release of 6,947 criminal illegal aliens since January 20th. The crimes of these aliens include 29 homicides, 2,509 assaults, 199 burglaries, 305 robberies, 392 dangerous drugs offenses, 300 weapons offenses, and 207 sexual predatory offenses. The predators were released back on the streets without any notification to ICE, a trend which has led to many violent repeat offenses in the past.

That pause includes the completion of citizenship ceremonies for legal U.S. permanent residents from the list of 19 countries who were on the cusp of becoming naturalized American citizens, the USCIS document said. Most government spending gets stolen
USING THE GOVERNMENTS OWN STATISTICS:
In 2022 the US spent $15,633 per K-12 student, and average classroom size was 20.9 students.
Total: $326,730 per classroom.
The average K-12 teacher makes $66,397.
And if we rented 1,000 sq. ft. of office space per classroom, this is around $2,000/ month or $24,000/ year.
Total $90,397 per teacher+ classroom.
So we have $326,730 in total spending per classroom, with $90,397 of that going to teachers and classrooms, and $236,333 for other things.
So 28% of our K-12 money goes to teachers+classrooms, and 72% apparently goes to the bureaucracy.
This is how corrupt our government appears to be..
Okay, so there’s a school lunch program, sports programs, etc. BUT MUCH OF THAT IS SEPARATELY FUNDED.
