Al: You probably meant the British couldn’t do anything, not the French, which is one nation that I believe never tried to do anything in Afghanistan.

      Apr 13, 2017 13:46 PM

Silverdollar, my understanding is that UK supported the U.S. involvement and that the French were there before the Russians.

        Apr 14, 2017 14:34 AM

The French were there with a NATO commitment of about 500 people, who left in 2012.
The British had three wars in the area, defeated in all I believe. The country was relatively independent until the Russians invaded in late ’70s. After them, we’ve been the primary occupier.

What is TRT news. And, of course they are going to say what this gentleman said. I am still thinking that the U.S. is sending a very clear message during this very dangerous time.

At this point I am not sure that this is a bad thing with all the really bad guys out there.

I think TRT stands for Turkey Radio TV.

The strike wouldnt happen without proof?
Well, maybe some peoples definition of “proof” is dif than others.

      Apr 14, 2017 14:29 AM

I find it really troubling b that there is a possibility that our government is perhaps not giving us truth but propoganda. I would bet that you do also.

A paragraph that just happened to be at sgt report.

There are lies, damned lies and news, to paraphrase British Prime Minister Disraeli who said: “There are lies, damned lies and statistics. Today we are fed with lies ubiquitously in the form of news and most people who just follow conventional media are totally unaware of the truth. Because the truth is not spoken by many today:

Politicians lie to mislead and indoctrinate the people.
Governments put out false economic information to serve their purpose, like unemployment or inflation data
Central bankers lie, because if they told the truth, the global financial bubble would burst instantaneously.
Bankers lie about the state of their banks because if they told their customers the real financial position, they would not have one single depositor.
Fake News and False Flags are now commonplace. Since most people are totally uncritical of all they read in the papers or watch on television, it is extremely easy for governments in the West or East, to publish lies and fake news.
Journalists lie because of their political leaning or because they are too lazy to find out the real facts.
Pension fund trustees lie because they dare not tell their pensioners that they are unlikely to receive more than a fraction of the pension they have been promised.

            It continues @sgt

This is reallly a macro statement which much of which I don’t disageree. I am giving my opinion on two specific issues: the missles and the bomb!

Japan (Abe) claims that North Korea may be capable of sarin tipped missiles.

        Apr 14, 2017 14:34 AM

Thanks for the link, CFS. Listening to Abe speak shows me that this thought is proably not just bs.

      Apr 14, 2017 14:32 AM

Who in the heck is Kim wong stupid going to kill, with the sarin missile. His chances of gaining anything is “0” . Abe needs to spend some money on defense, and stop sending all those cheap cars to America. Let the Japanese defend their own country.

        Apr 14, 2017 14:32 AM

My opinion of Kim is that he definitely has a screw loose if he really thinks that he attack any country with significant reprecussions to his people.

I would bet that this little man is simply blustering to make him look very big in the eyes of other North Koreans. I think that is his rationale for all that he is doing.

        What do you think OOTB?

          Apr 14, 2017 14:46 AM

I think you pretty much said it……..simply blustering…….

            Apr 14, 2017 14:05 AM

Either that OOTB or simply insane!

            Apr 14, 2017 14:05 PM

I was going to be good on GOOD FRIDAY…..but, ok, the guy is an idiot……. 🙂

          Apr 14, 2017 14:36 PM

He’s a fruit cake with nothing to lose. Threatening people who have a screw loose is not all that good an idea. He can take Seoul down with him. Trump is going to regret his meaningless gestures.

I’ve been wondering for days just how friendly China was with the US and they are now saying, “cool your jets.” The bully in the White House is about to regret his bluster.

From a military point of view, the missiles that hit cost $1 to $1.5 million and those who took out airplanes destroyed aircraft worth $100,000 apiece.

The MOAB was a gesture and while killing 36 enemy sounds like a big deal, it’s not. The US killed 18 Kurds who were “allies” in one air strike. Trump is all about smoke and mirrors.

            Apr 14, 2017 14:46 PM

A lot of folks are about smoke and mirrors.

Seriously, I truly hope that Trump proves what I think him to be – A maerick who cares about our country. But then again …

    b
    Apr 13, 2017 13:17 PM

of course they are, they could use anthrax and a whole host of other chemicals.
would they waste a missile for these?

Why use a chemical missile when they could simply send a person in to poison the water?

Abe is using scare tactics to drum up support for the Japanese military to work with the americans.
Japan is an occupied vassal state.

      Apr 14, 2017 14:35 AM

Great food for thought b. So, in your opinion, what should the rest of the world do in regards to Japan?

        b
        Apr 14, 2017 14:14 AM

What should the world do in regards to Japan?

Zilch, let the Japanese throw off the occupation themselves.
Whats Canada going to do about Japan?
        We are a vassal ourselves.

          Apr 14, 2017 14:06 AM

Well b, at least so far the rest of the world is doing what you suggest. Hope it stays that way.

    Apr 13, 2017 13:19 PM

Let’s see the proof. Where is this “solid proof” that all of these scheming gremlins speak of ?

For anyone with an attention span of more than 15 minutes…..they will have noticed that pretty much every time they say that there is “proof”…..it later turns out to be a lie.

Assad had no reason to do anything like that.

Show the proof. Why would it be classified ? Would you risk disclosing to Assad how to pull off such an attack ? He’s already done it ……supposedly. What are you villains hiding ? Nothing ? Is that your schtick ?

    Military Intelligence is an oxymoron.

Anyone who claims to know, and claims that there is proof even though it can’t be shown for some reason…..is lying. This is what some call…..The Deep State.

After years and years of this crap, many of us are tired of all of these liars and the massive evils that they do.

Many of us were hoping that Trump would drain this swamp. Not knowing for sure what bigger game may be afoot here…….I for one, am feel duped at this point.

And for all of those who are so anxious to “send a message”, should strap on their boots and go over there to send it themselves. Put up or shut up.

      Apr 14, 2017 14:25 AM

      feeling duped…….ditto

          Apr 14, 2017 14:41 AM

I personally am so hopeful, OOTB, that I am simply of the mind to give the U.S. in what appears to me to be an attempt to reposition the world’s opinion of it after much tearing down.

          Your opinion?

            Apr 14, 2017 14:48 AM

I am giving him the 100 days……….but, I betting the trojan horse has left the sable….hope I am wrong.

      Apr 14, 2017 14:39 AM

I kind of agree with you lookingin, I bring up the point of “sending a message” because I think that it is a real possibility in light of the major mistakes that we have madein the past.

If the U.S. follows up with more similar attacks to Syria, I will then copletely agree with you.

        Apr 14, 2017 14:49 AM

            Al:

Spicer read my piece about “The Clean Break from the Peace Process.” He even used the same terms the Neocons used 21 years ago.

            http://12160.info/video/sean-spicer-s-freudian-slip-trump-s-goal-is-to-destabilize-syria

Rather than pursuing a “comprehensive peace” with the entire Arab world, Israel should work jointly with Jordan and Turkey to “contain, destabilize, and roll-back” those entities that are threats to all three.

            What a coincidence, I guess.

            Apr 14, 2017 14:15 PM

Understandable, Al. But one step at a time.

First off, one has to get clear on whether the official story is true or not.

WTC7 cleared that up for me.

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxl06jxfgRk

47 story sky scraper. Massive steel frame. Office fires. Free-fall collapse indistinguishable from a controlled demolition. Absurd.

Or, if not, maybe I’ll go into the demolition business–I’ve always been very good at starting camp fires.

From there, more investigation, critical thinking and rearranging the furniture in one’s reality.

I wouldn’t say it was ‘Israel’, or all zionists by any stretch, for that matter. But certain Zionists and their allies? This, of course, describes the NeoCon GW Bush administration that would have had to have been involved if the official story isn’t true.

Like b says the pieces are there. And it’s the only way I can find that this jigsaw puzzle fits together.

The root of the problem, pun intended, is yet another chemical attack, by the likes of Monsanto.

    http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2017/04/09/soil-microbes-intracellular-communication-affects-health.aspx

Roundup/glyphosate damages the soil microbial community, and thus the nutritional qualilty of our food. It also damages the microbial community in our gut, thus inhibiting our ability to absorb nutrients from our already nutrient-deficient food. Gut disorders are a huge profit center for Medical Industrial Complex, as are all the consequent disorders resulting from the malnutrition and inflammation that gut disorders cause.

She is loyal to assad due to necessity, but wants elections.

            Apr 14, 2017 14:34 PM

It’s all in how one defines ‘police state’ I suppose. There’s the ‘Brave New World’ version, and then there’s the ‘1984’ version. The US leans toward the former. E.g. the pharmaceuticals I mention elsewhere in the thread.

Even so, the US has the highest number of prisoners of any country.

SWAT teams conduct over 50,000 raids per year, which may well entail men in black breaking down the door in the middle of the night and shooting the family dog. Once upon a time it was considered reasonable to answer an entry like that with lead. Try that now and they’ll go Waco on you.

I can tell you, when I first came to South America one of the big attractions was that it felt more free. One could basically do anything one wanted, as long as it wasn’t causing anyone else a problem. It was like taking off an uncomfortable shoe that you had barely noticed until the relief of taking it off. Alas, it’s gone downhill fast. And, of course, it has its dark side as well.

Every place has its good and its bad, and the US certainly has plenty that is good. It’s the downhill trend that bothers me.

“Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”
            ~George Washington

“It is important to remember that government interference always means either violent action or the threat of such action. Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen. The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning. Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.”
            ~Ludwig von Mises

“Even if it were desirable, America is not strong enough to police the world by force. If that attempt is made, the blessings of liberty will be replaced by coercion and tyranny at home. We cannot practice might and force abroad and retain freedom at home.”
            ~Howard Buffett, Nebraska Congressman (1952)

“Of the enemies of true liberty, war is perhaps the most dreaded because it compromises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied; and all the means of seducing the minds are added to those of subduing the force of the people.”
            ~James Madison

“Every ambitious would-be empire clarions it abroad that she is conquering the world to bring it peace, security and freedom, and is sacrificing her sons only for the most noble and humanitarian purposes. That is a lie, and it is an ancient lie, yet generations still rise and believe it! … If America ever does seek Empire, and most nations do, then planned reforms in our domestic life will be abandoned, States Rights will be abolished — in order to impose a centralized government upon us for the purpose of internal repudiation of freedom, and adventures abroad. The American Dream will then die — on battlefields all over the world — and a nation conceived in liberty will destroy liberty for Americans and impose tyranny on subject nations.”
            ~George S. Boutwell

“Our country is now geared to an arms economy which was bred in an artificially induced psychosis of war hysteria and nurtured upon an incessant propaganda of fear.”
            ~General Douglas McArthur

“Now the government can declare ANYTHING illegal regardless of whether it’s wrong, such as making it illegal to not purchase health insurance.

And if you resist the government’s declaration you will be shot dead.

If you doubt the shot dead part, try refusing to obey the law AND refuse to capitulate to the government’s attempts to force you to follow the law – eventually you will be the target of a militarized SWAT team. If you refuse to submit you will be shot dead.”
