Now, I’m not saying all of the ten commandments are absolutely right or that they form a complete set.
What I am saying is that for civilized society to exist there must be a set of fundamental ground rules of right and wrong.
For me, personally, that is the Golden Rule, but I’m prepared to accept others live by different precepts.
However, what distinguishes “civilized” society from mob rule or “uncivilized” society, must be some level of tolerance of others based on whether or not behavior is beneficial or detrimental to mankind.
Islam as practiced by the taliban is simply unacceptable in civilization.
