Welcome!

Are we due to see a pullback in the USD and US markets?

Cory

To wrap up the markets today we focus on the USD, gold, and US markets. There are some signs that we will see a reversal in these markets shortly. Whether this reversal is a new long-term trend or just a short-term move is doubtful but we will be watching it.

Everyone have a great rest for your day!

Bizaaro world is in full force here in Australia. Only 3 weeks ago, fear mongering was rife with all media outlets claiming Trump is gonna take the world into apocalypse and now some are claiming he is the fresh hope that might reinvigorate not just the US but the world. Talk about changing face. And further more, many TV economists are now suggesting higher interests are being viewed as stimulating for sluggish economies. Maybe night is day, up is down and the big guy in red who drives a sleigh does exist after all…

I see Jim Wyckoff has “gone out on a limb” and stated gold MAY hit an alltime high in the next decade…yeh right! Well i might go out on a limb too: in the next decade the world may end, cures for all cancers may be available, usain bolt may be exposed as a drug cheat, excessive alcohol consumption may be proven beneficial, oil may be $500 per barrel, all vehicles may be auto driven, alien life form may contact planet earth and gold may be worth $25000 an ounce… give me a break! To say gold climbing another $800 an ounce from here in the next decade is not going out on a limb!

      I’ll be a blue-nosed gopher if gold isn’t over 3K in 5 years.

Well Bonzo, 5 years ago gold was around $1750 and look what happened over that time frame??? Being an Ozzie, what is a gopher anyway?

A gopher is a mammal that digs holes under the prairie. Did you ever see “Caddyshack” with Bill Murray?

No i think i missed caddyshack but cheers for clearing that up Bonzo.

Ozibatla – Your post about Wyckoff has inspired me to also “go out on a limb” and suggest that in the next decade, most of us will have ages that will hit all time highs.

      😮

Good call Excelsior. Lets see if it comes to fruition…haha. Perhaps in 10 years it will be 2026???

          Dec 02, 2016 02:06 AM

Agreed. We have strong support for the year 2016, and honestly, I see us holding here and moving up as high as 2026 resistance in the next 10 years.

Ozibatla, I’m sure there are some posters here that will think we’re calling for a “to the Moon!” prediction here, but I think in a decade it is very reasonable to be at the year 2026.

Haha, priceless Excelsior. I wonder if those who advocate moonshoot prices realise what the consequences of such conditions would be, eg: if gold were to say go to $10000 and silver $500 in a hurry, what would the cost of everyday living expenses be?

The Italians are seeing what Brussels is doing to their country and the rest of Europe, it’s called lack of foresight, lack of leadership, and lack of even elementary common sense. Isn’t that what happened to The Americans and now they have a fresh change coming to Washington, Europe has always been a basket case of troubled countries and in many ways it functions best that way. The Romans/Italians will vote to leave this terrible European economic experiment that is run from Brussels. DT

Europe is no more ! Tracy !

Correct me if im wrong, but i read a little while back that one of the main architects of the Eurozone idea stated soon after its inception that the whole shared currency amongst europe was designed to fail from the get go.
