Let’s Take A Look At Copper To The USD
We have been looking at the relationship between gold and the USD but in this segment we shift focus and compare the movements in copper to the USD. Craig Hemke and I look at the charts below back 3 years when copper broke down and the USD made a major bull move. If we are seeing the inverse of this with copper moving up then the thoughts of any sustained bounce in the dollar should be reconsidered.

Bill Clinton sought State’s permission to meet with Russian nuclear official during Obama uranium decision
Markedtofuture – Glad this story is getting more attention again 6 years later. I remember very vividly the Uranium One story as I was invested in it when the news about the Russian buyout came in. People just need to look at old Frank Guistra’s ties to the Clinton Foundation and his love of Hilly & Billy to see how the state department greased the skids for this deal for their homie Frank G. I was shocked/amazed at the deal, and at the time only remember Glenn Beck covering it, but that was it. I’m not sure what anyone can do about it now as the deal has been done for years now. They should have cared more back in 2010/2011.

Trump accuses media of ignoring Uranium One story
‘Clinton Cash’ author Peter Schweizer provides insight on ‘The Story.’
Hannity: Dems, media have lied about Russia for over a year
“Evidence of corruption and criminal conduct goes ignored.” (Uranium One)
What is a real shame as I liked the assets of Uranium One and felt like it was one of the few good mid-tiers that would survive any downturns, but didn’t realize they’d get bought out by the Russian conglomerate.
However, I’ve posted on here a few times in the past that I’ve taken out a stake in Anfield Resources (who has acquired some of those US assets back from Uranium One). Maybe as the awareness builds for this Uranium One cover up, more people and investors will realize now some of those same assets have been divested back to (ARY) (ANLDF) Anfield Resources.

“Shootaring Canyon Mill lies within one of the historically most prolific uranium production areas in the US”
“These unconventional projects lie in the Black Hills, Powder River Basin, Great Divide Basin, Laramie Basin, Shirley Basin and Wind River Basin areas in Wyoming, and comprise 2,667 federal mining claims, 56 Wyoming State leases and 15 private leases acquired from Uranium One in September last year.”
“Anfield has agreed to enter into a ‘resin processing agreement’ with Uranium One wherein Anfield would process up to 500,000 pounds per annum of its mined material at Uranium One’s Irigaray Central Processing Plant in Wyoming.”
to look at old Frank Guistra’s ties ………been talking about old Frank G for a long time, and all most everyone thinks he is a genius……..LOL
He was totally corrupt with Hilly and Billy on this one and got away with it and made millions. He is a genius (but talk about sweetheart deal since he donated big to the Clinton Foundation)…. geesh!
Just remember………I covered this several years ago………… 🙂
Conspiracy…..Theory…………LOL……
I need to go back and look up some of my OLD POST……..
Next,,,,will be Weinergate, and Pizzagate, ……If, they do not jail them for uranium deal..
Obama, Lynch, Comey and Mueller……better get a good attorney…….
But, then again……..the Swamp is deeper than most can imagine……..The MAJORITY of Americans are ASLEEP…….they Would rather listen to Wilson(D) with her red hat, blue hat, white,……..what a mess……Babbling idiot….from Florida.
OOTB – Yes we were talking about it back in 2011 when the deal was going down in the first place with Uranium One. Again, Glenn Beck was hitting it hard on the radio at the time, but nobody cared.
Then in 2015 when the NY Times ran their story, this Katusa piece was posted and discussed a number of times here on the KER Blog:

Hard to believe it was 2011………..
Just goes to show……. this COVERUP in the OBAMA ADMIN………Slick Willy, and Silver tongue Devil(obama)
Yes, it got covered up, but we threw it out once in a while before that NYT article broke:
On February 4, 2015 at 4:04 pm,
Excelsior says:
“…As for Uranium One it got taken private under the Russian company ARMZ, so it is out of the equation. “
On May 12, 2015 at 6:41 am,
Excelsior says:
“OK I am posting the link to Martin Katusa’s article on Uranium, the Obama blunders that have played into Russia’s strategy, and some great company breakdowns with Uranium One’s Russian ARMZ takeover, Cameco, Areva, Energy Fuels, Uranerz, Ur-Energy, and the focal point of the article his clear preference (and rightly so based on the data he puts forward) on Uranium Energy Corp (UEC) as the clear favorite on the list.”
“This is a fantastic article and worth the time to read it!!”
I just finished this article, Excelsior. The Uranium One action was a travesty on the part of Secretary Clinton.
Agreed Big Al. Nobody cared at the time, and it is interesting that it has resurfaced again recently, but only as a tit-for-tat on this whole Russian blame game from both sides of the isle.
If nothing else, maybe a few more people will wake up to the strategic importance of Nuclear energy and the US Uranium market.

Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal
By JO BECKER and MIKE McINTIREAPRIL 23, 2015
NYT…….finally comes out with some news……..they are only about 2yrs late……
The NYT were way late back in 2015 as the deal happened years before that, but I have to give them credit for running the story at least. Most “news agencies” are owned by the cabal and wouldn’t even touch the story. Better late than never. 😉
Excelsior,
Please provide me with a link to the NYT story.
Thank you,
A
When I posted , 2 yrs, …..I forgot we were talking about this in 2011…….time flies ….
Big Al the NYT times story that broke is linked right above your question. Here it is again:
Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal
By JO BECKER and MIKE McINTIRE – APRIL 23, 2015
Then came the Katusa Research story a few weeks later:
The Clintons, the New York Times, Uranium and the Truth
Katusa Research – May 15, 2015
https://katusaresearch.com/the-clintons-the-new-york-times-uranium-and-the-truth/
We discussed it a lot back then, but nobody seemed to care about the connections between the Obama Administration, the Clintons,, or Frank Giustra’s friendship with the Clintons and donations to the Clinton Foundation, that allowed her as secretary of state to clear the way with the Obama appointees in different departments to allow this deal to go through.
The libs weren’t worried at all about Russian collusion back then 😉
Excelsior,
I realize that we discussed it at length some time ago. I just read it again and it amazes me that this deal ever went through giving a huge percentage of US assets to another country.
The libs are still worried……..libs with corrupt minds, …..
Next will be Haiti …………..Frank, Billy, and Billy’s brother…..might see the inside of a jail cell…….
I doubt they’ll ever get arrested OOTB. They are TBTF. Anyone that seriously tries to take action against the Clintons ends up “mysteriously” dead. Not worth the candle.
All you can do is shake your head and move on…..
I think , they are going to get throw under the bus…….by the higher ups……….jmo
I think FRANK HOLMES……has some things to talk about, ….since he was running around with Billy C….a couple of years ago……..
ding, ding, ding…..
from the NYT piece:
“Such is the power of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. The committee comprises some of the most powerful members of the cabinet, including the attorney general, the secretaries of the Treasury, Defense, Homeland Security, Commerce and Energy, and the secretary of state. They are charged with reviewing any deal that could result in foreign control of an American business or asset deemed important to national security.”
“The national security issue at stake in the Uranium One deal was not primarily about nuclear weapons proliferation; the United States and Russia had for years cooperated on that front, with Russia sending enriched fuel from decommissioned warheads to be used in American nuclear power plants in return for raw uranium.”
“Instead, it concerned American dependence on foreign uranium sources. While the United States gets one-fifth of its electrical power from nuclear plants, it produces only around 20 percent of the uranium it needs, and most plants have only 18 to 36 months of reserves, according to Marin Katusa, author of “The Colder War: How the Global Energy Trade Slipped From America’s Grasp.”
“The Russians are easily winning the uranium war, and nobody’s talking about it,” said Mr. Katusa, who explores the implications of the Uranium One deal in his book. “It’s not just a domestic issue but a foreign policy issue, too.”
“When ARMZ, an arm of Rosatom, took its first 17 percent stake in Uranium One in 2009, the two parties signed an agreement, found in securities filings, to seek the foreign investment committee’s review. But it was the 2010 deal, giving the Russians a controlling 51 percent stake, that set off alarm bells. Four members of the House of Representatives signed a letter expressing concern. Two more began pushing legislation to kill the deal.”
“Senator John Barrasso, a Republican from Wyoming, where Uranium One’s largest American operation was, wrote to President Obama, saying the deal “would give the Russian government control over a sizable portion of America’s uranium production capacity…..”
But then again, The Clinton Foundation did receive in the neighborhood of $31 million.
Parts of our country really stink!
Sen. Charles Grassley: Let former FBI informant speak about Uranium One scheme
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley on Thursday called on the Trump administration to allow a former FBI informant to speak publicly about an FBI investigation into a bribery scheme by a Russian state-controlled nuclear energy company that was allowed to purchase U.S. uranium under the Obama administration.
“I believe that it shows that there wasn’t enough work done several years ago. You can’t lock a barn door after the horse has been stolen,” Grassley (R-Iowa) told Circa.
“We have people that want to talk, I believe that when people want to go public and say that what we don’t know about some of these schemes, that the public is entitled to that information and that people ought to be released from their disclosure arrangements so that they can talk, because the public has a right to know what went on and get the full story out to make sure that we don’t repeat the mistakes of the past,” Grassley said.
On Wednesday night, Grassley sent a formal letter to Victoria Toensing, the lawyer representing the former FBI informant, asking her to allow her client to testify publicly before his committee about his involvement in the FBI’s investigation regarding members of the Russian subsidiary.
Toensing, who formerly worked under the Reagan Justice Department and is the former chief counsel of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said told Circa Tuesday that she was attempting to get Congress to persuade the Trump Justice Department or the FBI to free her client of a non-disclosure agreement he signed with the FBI so that he can talk to lawmakers.
Grassley said reporting on the investigation has raised serious questions about why the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, also known as CFIUS, allowed the 2010 sale of Uranium One to Russia’s nuclear arm, Rosatom.
“When it involved 20 percent of the uranium that’s necessary for the national security of the United States, giving some foreign country access to that, it raises questions. Was it adequately considered?” Grassley told Circa.

veryone knows that you need a boarding pass and driver’s license to pass airport security. It’s always been this way, but next year, some travelers may also need a passport card.
Starting on Jan. 22, 2018, travelers from a handful of states may have to show an alternate ID to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents at the airport. This is because the REAL ID Act, which was passed by Congress in 2005, will go into effect.
Essentially, this act established minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses (and ID cards), and prohibits the TSA from accepting cards that don’t meet the standards. Several states have requested extensions to become compliant, many of which expired on Oct. 10. New extensions may be granted, but for now, the grace period for states ends on Jan. 22.
So in Australia, one only requires a drivers license to get through security as far as domestic flights are concerned. There are however rumours this current system is being reassessed.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans on Thursday muscled a $4 trillion budget through the Senate in a major step forward for President Donald Trump’s ambitious promise of “massive tax cuts and reform.”
The 51-49 vote sets the stage for debate later this year to dramatically overhaul the U.S. tax code for the first time in three decades, cutting rates for individuals and corporations while eliminating trillions of dollars of deductions and special interest tax breaks.
The tax cuts would add up to $1.5 trillion to the deficit over the coming decade, however, as Republicans have shelved fears about the growing budget deficit in favor of a once-in-a-generation opportunity to rewrite tax laws.

To be fair, Amazon no longer operates at a loss. Last year they booked $2.4 billion in net income. Unfortunately, they had to bring in $136 billion in revenue – a net profit margin of 1.7 percent – to do so. While some profit is better than no profit, in our book. The Amazon folks sure did a lot of running around without much money left over to show for it.
a net profit margin of 1.7 percent –
most businesses need….17%
I guess ,if you get the govt tax relief, you can make it on 1.7%

There are those however who would find negative aspects about us working with the Russians. At this point in time, I do not all into that category. Do you?

I read this editorial JohnK and I thank you for the link. The whole situation with our government is getting to be very perplexing. Funny, but I woke up in the middle of last night thinking about it. Rather than simply jump in and immediately opine, I have decided to go over my thoughts this weekend.
Kind of a difficult situation for me in that there is so much false information out there from both sides.
So far, I have come to the conclusion that the President is a piss poor communicator and it is a crime that the “top dog” in our country falls into that category.
Give me a couple of days on this subject, but in the meantime please post you opinion.
I’ll look forward to your commentary.
I believe the Public is entitled to question the official narrative of The Powers that Be.
I may be way off base about 9/11,but I’m not alone. All I’m saying is let’s take another look.
Let the next investigation be conducted by an independent body.
It is our job as protectors of freedom to question those in charge to ensure that we are not entering into totalitarianism. The power is becoming very concentrated and effort required to confront this is immense.
I’ve contended all along that President Trump has been “compromised” and I will stick to this until somebody can prove to me differently.
This has been an intense week to say the least.
I walked an extra 2.5 miles last evening to make sure I could get some rest.
Best to Ya Big Al.
I’ll add one more thing and I will say that you are 100% correct about nobody forcing you to borrow money. So many things to consider. it’s a real paradox trying to figure out what is most salient.
I agree John, a paradox.

We may be at the Uranium bottom in the $18-$20 range, but there is not a catalyst to start the uptrend in pricing until there are more build out of reactor news breaking, or until the longer term off-take agreements get negotiated with the Uranium miners and the Utility companies. That will be the real mover.
