We all are looking forward to the Fed statement and press conference but it’s more important to assess the market moves especially in the dollar. We outline two very different scenarios when it comes to the Fed statement and market moves.

Federal prosecutors signed a non-prosecution agreement in June with Merrill Lynch Commodities Inc. and Bank of America (Merrills parent company) for rigging the precious metals markets.
The U.S. Department of Justice found gold and silver traders working at Merrill Lynch had “schemed to deceive other market participants by injecting materially false and misleading information into the precious metals futures market.”
The agreement references “thousands of fraudulent orders” — intended artificially to move the markets up or down by “spoofing” other traders and investors — over a period of six years.
Two traders have been indicted on criminal charges so far. The non-prosecution agreement was only for the mega-bank, not for its more expendable staff.
The bank gets off with a less-than-consequential $25 million fine, a promise not to do it again, and a commitment to set up more controls … which they can self-monitor. …
Bastards……..and that includes the FED and US GOVT.
Need to send the Regulators a copy of the Federal Criminal Code. It may shock them when the find out all the things that are criminal crimes. Then to add to their confusion, they should read Federal Procedural directives that requires them to submit criminal cases to the Justice Department for submission to a Grand Jury. State AGs should band together and take the whole lot of them, regulators included, to State Grand Juries…or at least take away most of their salaries.

About 70 years ago, my grandfather pulled his wallet and tucked away in a pocket was a $20 gold piece. And he said “that’s not for spending, but for saving – that’s real money”.

I wish I had saved some of those greenbacks, because, if my memory is correct, they had some red printing on them. Probably collector’s items now.
Yep, you should have saved them…..if , they were $20 red seal, Large Size Notes…,
1948……all the Large size notes would have been pulled out of circulation, …..so , it most likely was a small size note……different value all together …..unless it was a star note.
Gold remains very overbought on the weekly chart yet still looks like it will move significantly higher before it moves even modestly lower. It’s being controlled by market forces.

Gold has been on a daily chart MACD sell signal for 3 weeks yet has only gone higher. This is bull market action like we saw from the unstoppable Claude Resources in 2015.

Yup, gold looks strong to me here.
But my glasses are pretty old now so Im really never sure of what I’m seeing anymore.
And now the old CEO of Claude Res. is running NGD which has more than doubled since May. Renaud Adams must be pretty good!

I’m just thrilled to MXSG Mexus finally using the leach pads at Santa Elena to start producing gold finally. Most investors are likely unaware that they have several other properties that can easily brought online into heap leach production, and they finally have figured out the right mix to get the clay out of the mix and fully utilize the right chemistry with the Merill Crowe plant. Now they can duplicate it elsewhere.
Mexus is also a very tiny company, so when the gold production hits, it will have huge impacts on their margins and give them the revenues to quickly expand.

Outsized gains are now only available to the few with the skills and experience required to gamble high-risk assets successfully, and this is becoming more difficult; even the professional class of money managers are increasingly unable to beat passive index funds.
The top 5% are riding high now that central banks have inflated stupendous bubbles in stocks, housing and other assets, but these gains are speculative.These gains are often viewed as permanent entitlements (i.e. bubbles never deflate), but if history is any guide, those holding speculative gains as if they were a form of savings are in for a rude awakening in the next few years.
