Now CNN is reporting that Iran is threatening to attack the US mainland if the US retaliates for those missile strikes…AND CNN just announced the goooberment is increasing security around the White House… It would be a neocon wet dream come true if Iran made good on that promise and a bunch of American civilians got killed…MIC and “security” state would love it, too.

Weird…that attack happened at least two or three hours ago and CNN is reporting no casualties…now why would Iran launch an attack that produced no casualties? They have to know an attack with missiles coming from within Iran is going to open them up to a full-on attack from Uncle Sugar. Seems to me if they were going to risk that they’d let lose with a devastating attack.

Escalations continue in the mid-east. Not good! This certainly has the potential to deteroriate into a global conflict of sorts. No surprise in golds reaction on this news. $1650-$1700 is certainly possible if things continue to escalate. In saying that, the bulls would become very exhausted and thus the correction could be quite severe in the short term once geopolitical tensions die down.
I say we bring in Guy Cabellero to mediate peace deal. Keep your stick on the ice.

There are many u.s. bases in Iraq. From memory (and this could be wrong) at least 8, with varying numbers of U.S. troops and Iraqi troops.
Iran has attacked two bases with rockets so far, NEITHER of which have high concentrations of U.S. troops.
I read into that Iran wanted to retaliate, but did NOT want to cause many casualties, fearing a further escalation with serious damage from U.S.
Turned out to be a big nothing burger.
The Iranians either lost their nerve or their missiles are not effective.
