It’s greed not fear that will drive the gold stocks higher

Brien Leni joins me today to recap his takeaways from the recent resource investment conferences in Vancouver. We then discuss the environment of fear driving metals prices but not the stocks. As Brien points out it’s greed not fear that will drive more money into the junior metals stocks.

Leni, nice tip. Just have to decide when to initiate position and where, assuming Brian thinks this news great or even better than expected.

Great point Don Federman. I initiated a position in (ABRA) Abraplata a while ago for the re-rating of the value of their Silver/Gold/Copper in the ground, but it flat-lined for longer than I was expecting. I had considered just selling off this position during tax loss, but opted to sell Klondike Silver instead, and hang onto Abraplata, because I had positioned pre-merger, and wanted to see if they had increased market following in 2020 post-merger.

Well they FINALLY got their merger completed with Aethon at the end of last year, and had remained relatively quiet, but my thesis was that Diablilos was worth the candle and that they’d be drilling on Diablillos with some of the funds they got from Aethon. I wanted to see what this season’s drilling turned up, and right out of the gate they are doing great and up bigly on today’s press release.

      Ever Upward!

If they keep hitting high grade silver over long intercepts then Abracadabra may be a good fit.

(SCZ) (SZSMF) Santacruz Silver Reports 2019 Annual Production of 2,829,459 Silver Equivalent Ounces

    28 Jan 2020

    > Total production reached 2.8 million equivalent ounces of silver, representing a 346% increase over 2018
    > Silver production reached 787,476 ounces, representing a 249% increase over 2018
    > Ramp development advanced at Zimapan, Veta Grande and Rosario projects to support an increase in milling tonnage for 2020 at all three mines.

Carlos Silva, Santacruz’s COO, stated, “Santacruz had a record year in 2019 producing 2.8 million silver equivalent ounces following the successful acquisition and integration of Carrizal Mining. In addition to this transformative event, the Veta Grande and Rosario mines increased their annual production substantially, while at the same time maintaining significant development activities and advancing exploration plans as a pathway to keep improving our production at all mines and expanding mine resources.” Mr. Silva continued “I commend all our employees for their dedication and commitment to keep improving our operations at all areas, and I am certain that our dedication to safe and reliable operations will be a cornerstone of further improvements throughout 2020”.

Santacruz Mining is one of the better ways to get leverage to rising silver prices. Their production is rising, they’re working hard to bring costs down, and now they have a 3rd mine chugging right along. At $20+ Silver this tiny Jr producer is going to really take off higher.

The Fed and US Government have no intention of paying down the debt, ever.
They don’t have to. They just have to keep the economy going until inflation makes the debt is relatively insignificant. The U.S. is in comparatively good shape, because other economies will collapse under the strain of negative interest rates.
