Michael Belkin gets it. “The cyclical stuff is not working anymore.” I agree, this is really obvious if you look at ratios. I agree with him about the banks stocks, too. In fact, I don’t think I disagreed with anything he said.
Most of you won’t be able to access the following yearly chart of gold so I will just point out that this year’s low happened to be just 70 cents below the previous record all-time high annual close of 1674 that happened in 2012. The only higher annual close happened last year.

TLT has been bottoming versus the stock market for the last three months and looks ready to get moving to the upside.

Belkin’s way overrated, and somewhat lazy with interest in only $ billion market cap miners

        Jun 30, 2021 30:42 PM

I have never been a subscriber of his so I can’t speak to any details about him but his comments in this interview were right on in my opinion. I also remember him making some timely calls years ago.

          Jul 01, 2021 01:12 PM

Timely calls, that’s because Eric King infomercial with him was virtually the only game in town2-4 years ago. Then came Eric Sprott on Friday mornings for 8-10 months dropping new or regurgitated names by the handful , weekly. And Voila! Eric disappears and the baton is passed to Quentin Hennigh and has been going strong ever since despite the apparent demise that has plagued Novo Res.

            Jul 01, 2021 01:20 PM

Yes, Quentin H hit a 8-10 bagger in New Found gold, but it’s been Tavi Costa appeal and Savoir Faire at CRESCAT that has helped resurrect and illuminate Quentins falling stardom.

            Jul 01, 2021 01:19 PM

His calls actually were timely. Did you notice that he went on KWN at times that were near lows and disappeared in between? Like now. I believe he’s nailing the low with this interview. As for KWN’s critics, it is “interesting” that so many (not directed at you) conflate King’s sensational delivery with each and every one of his guests as if they aren’t the same guests that make the rounds on other shows and without the criticism. Even worse, King’s words were often just fine but people couldn’t get past his delivery so they heard hype even when there wasn’t any. I noticed that many years ago. Then there are those who looked for much lower lows at every single important low since 2013. Many were calling for a 20 year bear market. The fear those guys created did far more harm to the bag-holders of 2011-12 than than those who held or accumulated into all major weakness as King said they should. A lot of people locked-in huge losses at the worst possible times because all they could see was bearishness.

As is always the case in any market sector most people do maximum harm to themselves by selling right at the bottom, and volume proves it. King’s cheerleading countered that stupidity.

In early 2015, I said that I was going to buy all major weakness that year and I did. Of course, Birdman and other damn fools had a field day taking tiresome jabs as everything drifted lower overall. Around the time that IPT hit 11 cents, I reported that my position had grown 6.7 fold and that it was now time for it to act like Claude had been acting (which had been going up relentlessly). Of course, virtually all of King’s critics, some delusional, performed horribly during the entire massive move that ensued.
My intention is not to overstate King’s value but to highlight the fact that the vast majority of his critics have less value. Even Armstrong performed miserably in 2016 which was funny because that popped the bubble that had developed in his popularity. You couldn’t miss the plagiarism that was going on everywhere. Everyone bought his little gold report and got hammered for it.

We will know soon if I am wrong about Belkin’s timing this time.

Points well taken, Matthew. I met Eric K in New York Hard Assets Conf in 2005, & 2006. He’s an operator, getting a phone call promoting an offering on Kimber Rssources soon after. Not impressive in person, but a great radio voice

            Jul 02, 2021 02:07 AM

After all these years, I still don’t have a clue what he looks like but would guess he’s around 70 based on a few things he has said about his experience in the markets.
I owned Kimber for awhile and sold it for a modest gain when Puplava’s interest in it became such a talking point (that wasn’t the main reason for selling, of course). I’m sure glad I never touched Puplava’s Tyhee. He had to have taken a beating on that one and I still don’t know why he was ever interested in it.

            Jul 02, 2021 02:42 AM

, Matthew, if I were guessing, I’d say he’s 54-58 right now, even though he talks the late 70s as if he were aware/active in the markets back then. He just impressed me being around 40 then in 2005-06

            Jul 02, 2021 02:43 AM

Thanks Marty. That’s much more in line with my first impression.

      Jul 02, 2021 02:14 AM

I lived on Puplavas Financialsense.com since the late 90’s. Had 3 years of Morgan’s Silverguru newsletter that vaulted me into metals in 98-99. Jim Sinclair actually posted there on F/S for a short period. And I had my 1st 16 bagger in Aurelian Res @ $.55, Keith Barton seemed to be a regular guest in the early 2000’s It actually ended up being a 40+ bagger when all was said and done. No regrets selling early

            Jul 01, 2021 01:13 PM

Good one guys! We do our best to be a dynamic duo. Haha! 🙂

Yes, Charles, I’m Shad, and I’ve been helping Cory with KE Report since this January.

It’s been a lot of fun, and a good learning experience sharing ideas with all the great guests and company officers that frequent the show. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and keep bringing on more interesting generalists, technicians, and companies onto the show to share ideas.

            Ever Upward!

    Jun 30, 2021 30:14 PM

Matt, please forgive me if I ask a question you may already have answered, but do you think we have seen the lows or are we gonna tank further from here.
    What’s your outlook?

Your opinion is important for me.

    Cheers!

      Great charts Matthew. Thanks.

        Thanks Charles, anytime.

After managing to close yesterday on its 200 day MA, to the penny, SLV finished today one cent above its daily KAMA. I have a feeling that bullish sign will work out and send it higher on better volume tomorrow.

Let’s hope so. Bought some more throughout today. Not much powder left now. I might have to sell that oil stock you tipped me on.

Yesterday Michael Oliver repeated that gold will be 8K and silver $200 in 2 years. Would not surprise Bonzo.

      Jun 30, 2021 30:41 PM

Haha He’s been predicting that since I was 18

      Jun 30, 2021 30:41 PM

Bonzo, I’m getting ready to “nibble” on some more NSRPF soon—please stop me. As far as Oliver and the rest of the yahoos in the past that make their absurd perpetually wrong predictions, you could fill a book of 1000 pages with them. Yes, we in all likelihood will see 8K gold some day but not in 2 years.

        Jun 30, 2021 30:44 PM

I bought a bit more NSRPF today.

Still waiting for sub $2CDN on NVO

            Jul 01, 2021 01:53 AM

Good to know Terry. Don’t know what that is in dollar terms, but let me know when its there.

        Jul 01, 2021 01:02 AM

I would never try to stop anyone from buying as much Novo as they can. Buy till it hurts.
        This is not investing advice.

          Jul 01, 2021 01:58 AM

          not investing advice……. just sound advice………. 🙂

    Jun 30, 2021 30:04 PM

      Jul 01, 2021 01:51 AM

I’ll have my NVO for $1.99CDN long before your book about nothing is available.

    Jul 01, 2021 01:03 PM

    I’ll WOKE u up when it’s finished
