THe UK news is running the school shooting in Connecticut very heavily.

    I will make a prediction.
One is so obvious – Obama will use this to try to further restrict guns.

(Look up schoiol kinng in China, however, where a few days ago there was a similar incident with multiple killings and wounds inflicted with a Knife.

    Here’s my real prediction….
The perp will turn out to be a quiet 20-year-old, who’s parents recently divorced and who has been objecting to the imposed court visitation schedule and how it messed up his life.
It will probably turn out that the mother was given sole custody, and the son was very smart, but university future was screwed up due to divorce. His future in a mess, he chose…… what happened….

The most common underreported common circumstance in theses unfortunate instances is that the assailant is on a prescribed antidepressant.

      I don’t know cfs.

I would agree about the guns pertaining to gun control. (Remember that I do not own a gun myself, but I strongly support the “right to bear arms”!)

I think that the shooter (shooters?) were a couple of very screwed up individuals. (And we all know, that gun control will never stop that situation!)

I support you BIG AL…..right to bear arms……, Dennis , has an interesting quote, from Thomas Jefferson, which tied the right to bear arms, in associating the right to making sure the people had the same firepower as the govt. military….In viewing the concept of the right to bear arms,,,against a corrupt govt, and banksters,,,this makes common sence…..We , now know, that the banking and fed are corrupt, and the eventual take over of the citizen world wide,,,,why, would any American give up his rights to have automatic weapons equal to the corrupt govt. which is now imploding, which is trying to enslave it’s citizens with a debt, give up their constitional right….
The antidepressant psyco, which kills young people is unexcuseable….but, to use that as a lead in to restrict guns, is non sense…..

Antidepressants make billions for drug companies and that is the main benefit of them. They are no solution to depression if the side effect is more depression and suicidal thoughts. Those are the effects the drug commercials always mention.
It is just big business to come up with new conditions and new drugs to treat them.
Someone I know used these and hung himself down in California.
The only gun control that can work is a confiscation of all guns and heavy fines and jail for anyone caught with a gun. I think over here in Canada hand guns were banned a long time ago. Semi automatic guns are limited to 5 bullets.

I looked up the law here in Canada and it seems there is no limit on rounds in a semi-automatic rim fire rifle. I don’t know what the difference is between rimfire and centrefire. Not much of a gun control law allowing assault guns to kill a large number of people in seconds.

From what I heard there is a 30 or 60 day waiting period (sometimes referred to as a cooling off period) before you get your gun license in Canada, and they do background checks. In at least one US state, I heard all you need is a drivers license and you can get the gun as soon as you pay for it.

About time they make it more difficult to obtain and keep a driver’s license.

My impression, PastExpiry-dot-com is that if a U.S. citizen is “clean” he/she can purchase a gun.

Now, what is wrong with that?
