First Cobalt – A Cobalt Company With A Big 2018 Planned

Cory
February 22, 2018

I do not usually focus on Cobalt companies on this show but when I was sat down with First Cobalt (TSXV:FCC & OTCQB:FTSSF) management back at the VRIC the overall strategy caught my eye. After some background research I wanted to introduce the story to everyone.

2017 was spent building the land package in Cobalt Ontario – see the slide below for the developments over the year. In 2018 we will see a significant amount of drilling over 13 targets. On top of the exploration the Company also holds the only permitted refinery for cobalt materials in North America. Trent Mel, President and CEO of First Cobalt joins me to focus on the exploration this year and the potential opportunities with the refinery. One final note is that the Company has around C$30 million in the bank so they are well funded for the drilling this year.

    speaking of Cobalt…..

That drilling by $BBB with 1% #Cobalt is pretty good, especially along side .95% Copper and .72% Nickel (they’ve sampled up to 16% Cobalt in the past which is bonanza grade – along with the really high Silver grades) Of course, wider intercepts would be better.

Here’s some contrast from $FCC First Cobalt on what they stated in a recent press release confirmed:

“the presence of high grade cobalt and nickel along the known Bellellen vein system” – “2.0 metres of 0.78% Co and 0.83% Ni, including 1.1 metres of 1.35% Co and 1.47% Ni”

So if First Cobalt feels .78% – 1.35% Cobalt is “high grade”, then surely 16% Cobalt that Brixton sampled is also high grade, and BBB has a prior producing mine infrastructure in place at Langis as is used to produce both Silver & Cobalt in prior cycles.
