Joel Elconin – Inflation Data, Geopolitics, Q4 Earnings Kick Off

Joel Elconin, Co-Host of the Benzinga PreMarket Prep Show and Editor of PreMarket Prep joins us to recap the inflation data this week, geopolitics news on Friday and the start of Q4 earnings season. As Joel points out markets are relatively flat with a clearly defined resistance level very close to all time highs.
While the inflation data this week and geopolitics had some short term impacts on markets, Joel is most focused on Q4 earnings. So far he has noted weakness on the back of initial earnings reports and will be watching guidance provided by companies over the next few weeks.

My IBKR looks capped at the authorized by Congress 2% limit. Schwab just went negative. Gold at +$32 and silver @ +.61.
(Almost forgot: Schwab made another 1% error and although it is barely green, it is actually red. This error is normally in the previous day closing cost of a random stock, but the error only appears in Customer Accounts and not in their trading or research windows. It results in distorted account values that are corrected overnight but gives them added overnight cash. Just my opinion.)
