Brian Leni – Gold & Silver Momentum, Contrarian Value in Copper & Nickel, & How to Pick the Right Developers

Cory
September 5, 2025

We’re joined by Brian Leni of Junior Stock Review to break down where the best opportunities are now in the raging precious metals bull market, and where contrarian investors should be looking next.

Key themes:

  • Gold & Silver Surge – Why the bull market is already well underway, how stocks have outperformed, and where value still exists in the space.

  • Contrarian Copper & Nickel – Developers trading at less than 2% of NAV in some cases, with re‐rating potential even if commodity prices stay flat.

  • Catalyst-Driven Picks – A couple stocks Brian sees as good value at current copper prices.

  • Managing Risk & Psychology – Modeling financing costs properly, anticipating dilution, and maintaining discipline with profit-taking to avoid “round-tripping” winners.

  • Why Developers Shine – How Brian has delivered outsized returns focusing on this “boring” but high-value part of the mining cycle.

Stocks Mentioned: Hot Chili (TSXV: HCH; ASX: HCH; OTCQX: HHLKF) • Surge Copper (TSXV: SURG; OTCQB: SRGXF)

Emo and Magna down at same time … again. Managed money is going to have their AI on strike if they don’t get more creative with their programming.

Think the magna pp might be todays reason Lake and Emerita had a nice run up.

        Wolf:
It is more a comment about reality than PPs. News is supposed to be a factor in price movement but it is often counter intuitive. Emo and Magna both great stocks and have a long way to go. However, algos can be used to naked short various stocks to minimize movements one way or the other and it has been a long standing joke that “having both EMO and Magna ” positive on the same day will be an upday for exploreres.
Today it is more about keeping the miners within the “Congressionally legislated” “2-3%” cap on precious metals in view of the terrible employment #s and the debt isssues/dollar failure that is reaching crisis levels. The law was one of those “under the radar” pieces of legislation that was given the market makers within the last 10 years or so to give them authority to intervene without retribution. It is kind of in the same ballpark as giving Congress authority to “inside trade” based on what info they have acquired in their elected positions so the people can not lynch them without a Court Order.
Anyway just some Friday humor and I expect one or both (Emo/Magna) to be green by days end. Who knows.
