Doc – Silver’s Surging Higher: A Technical Outlook

Cory
December 1, 2025

In this editorial, we are joined by Richard “Doc” Postma to discuss the massive move in precious metals, with Silver surging over 15% in November.

Doc breaks down the technical indicators suggesting we are in an “acceleration phase” similar to 2011. We discuss the glaring valuation disconnect between soaring metal prices and lagging mining equities, explaining why developers using conservative price assumptions offer deep value. Doc also shares his macro thesis on the “Great Reset” favoring hard assets and why he views recent pullbacks in names like Coeur Mining as buying opportunities.

Key Discussion Points:

  • Silver Breakout: Analyzing the potential for 8 straight months of gains and bullish momentum indicators.
  • Valuation Gap: Why miners haven’t kept pace with spot prices and the specific opportunity in juniors.
  • Stock Specifics: Thoughts on the pullback in Coeur Mining and the technical strength of Silvercorp.
  • Macro Outlook: The Dow/Gold ratio heading lower and the global shift toward hard assets.

Hi Doc, I was rooting for Michigan last Saturday. Were you there in the Big House? I think the Hoosiers will teach the Buckeyes a lesson in humility next Saturday. Who do you pick? IU has not been to the Rise Bowl since 1968 when they played USC and OJ Simpson, so I think the Hoosiers are due to win the Big 10. ARMN, AYASF, and EQX are all selling for $14. I own them all. Which one do you think will do best in the next couple of years? Francis Hunt thinks silver is headed up to 333 and AYASF to 144.

Bonzo, I was not at the big house, but hopefully one of my grandsons was—he’s a junior at Ross business school and is getting 2 majors, one of course in business and another in computer science. He then can support me in my old age. I hope Indiana can finally break the hex and beat the buckeyes. It’s amazing to me about how they have improved so much the past 2 years. I have tickets for the Michigan/Indiana basketball game on January 20, 2026. Michigan could be scary good this year.

Doc, when gold goes to 10K and silver to 333 you won’t need anyone to support you in your old age.
Coach Cignetti must be a magician. I hope he can win 3 national championships like Bobby Knight.
My last year in grad school at IU they were 34-0 in basketball. Has anyone has a perfect season since 1975?

I think it’s safe to say Doc was joking about his grandson taking care of him.
Larry Bird and the Sycamores came close at 33-1 in 1978-79 but the only other team to do it was the San Francisco Dons in 1955-56.

The most recent close call: 2014–15 Kentucky Wildcats: Had a 38-0 record before losing to Wisconsin in the Final Four.

The voice of reason; Have very much enjoyed hearing from Doc going way back to 2011 with Al and Trader Roge….
