Matti Talikka, CEO and Director of Aurion Resources Ltd (TSX.V:AU – OTC:AIRRF) joins us to unpack the recent discovery in the first few drill holes in their joint venture with B2Gold along the Kutuvuoma-Ikkari Corridor in Finland. We discuss the details of what they know from the first few holes, as they await more drill assays from their ongoing 5,000 meter drill program, and the similarities found thus far along trend with Rupert Resources Ikkari deposit.

Matti also discusses some of the exploration work going on at  Aurion’s other 100% owned Risti and Launi Projects, and what investors should be watching for moving forward.

If you have any follow up questions for Matti regarding Aurion Resources, then please email us at Fleck@kereport.com or Shad@kereport.com.

Congratulations to the Aurion Resources and B2Gold teams on the first few drill holes in this JV having made a new discovery along the same mineral trend that hosts Rupert Resources Ikkari discovery. Those first results are very similar to what Rupert had coming back as their discovery holes, and now they have a 4 million ounce gold deposit. It will be very interesting to keep following along with how the other drill assay results come back as the labs release them.

YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP, I am also thinking who will be the winner, can’t forget Firefox, maybe it will be the next big area play.

Agreed DT. Yes, Finland, and in particular that Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in the north, is really turning into a big area play for gold resources. B2Gold getting serious is a great sign, and yes, Rupert, Aurion, and Firefox are all continuing to have success with the drill bit.

BTG sounds like a good way to own 75% of this property. Along with that you get 32% of CXB, BTG’s other assets and a 3.8% dividend thrown in. There, my due diligence is done. Thank you very much KER.

Appreciate how you guys persisted until he finally let it out that BTG has a 70% interest in this property and option to buy further 5%.

Yes, B2Gold has a 70% interest that can be taken up to 75% interest, but keep in mind that as a much larger producer operating in a number of jurisdictions, these drill results on the JV with Aurion will not move the needle nearly as much for (BTG) as it will for (AU), even with them having the smaller share of 30%. Either company, or even both, is still a good way to play the project.
        .
Also keep in mind that Aurion just signed a Definitive Option Agreement with B2Gold on the separate Kuortis Property, so that is another feather in Aurion’s cap.
        .
Also keep in mind that Aurion still has their 2 main 100% owned projects in Finland, the Risti and Launi Projects, and they have their own compelling exploration and drill programs going on there, especially around the Aamurusko area.
        .
So there are a number of cylinders that Aurion is firing on besides just the most recent drill results from the first JV with B2Gold, that are value drivers for the company.

So far with Rupert, Aurion, S2 Resources, and Firefox, Finland has been looking quite nice indeed.
