Peter Krauth – Silver Fundamentals And Silver Stocks Setting Up For A Sustained Move Higher
Peter Krauth, author of the book The Great Silver Bull and editor of the Silver Stock Investor newsletter, joins me for the first time on the KE Report to discuss the supply/demand fundamentals for silver, how it is unique as an investment asset class, and a we get into a number of silver stocks on his radar.
We start off noting the recent breakout higher, and why Peter believes this is the beginning of a sustained move higher in the sector, based on the move to all-time highs in gold, the supply deficits from mining and recycling, and the increasing demand. The physical and paper silver market discussion covers a lot of ground, including ETF outflows, metals redemption from futures traders on all 3 major exchanges, and even gets into whether the silver markets can even be squeezed.
Shifting over into the silver stocks, we cover the whole spectrum from the larger to mid-size producers like First Majestic (FR.TO) (AG), Hecla Mining (HL), MAG Silver (MAG.TO) (MAG), GoGold Resources (GGD.TO)(GLGDF), and Aya Gold and Silver (AYA.TO) (AYASF), to junior explorers like Summa Silver (SSVR.TO) (SSVRF), New Pacific Metals (NUAG.TO) (NEWP), and Hercules Silver (BIG.V) (BADEF). Peter shares which jurisdictions he is avoiding and which ones he is attracted to for silver mining operations, and also outlines the kind of research he provides to his subscribers.

Hi Ex, I noticed that you didn’t include two of my favorite silver stocks in your list of explorers and developers on your silver substack article on 4/3/24 that had moves to the upside, they are both in Bolivia also a favorite mining jurisdiction for me. Cartier Silver (CFE) climbed 16.67%, and Eloro Resources (ELO) was up 8.75%. DT
Hi DT. Thanks for heads up. I thought I had Eloro on my silver explorers watchlist, so not sure why it wasn’t included (maybe I moved it over to Tin?), and I’d didn’t have Cartier Silver on my list, so will add it in there moving forward. Cheers!
Did you hear the part in the interview above with Peter, where he also mentioned he was warming up more to Bolivia as a jurisdiction. It was in relation to New Pacific Metals, but a nice endorsement on the country from Peter.
Bolivia is very mining friendly, in the 1600’s Spain was The World’s richest country mostly because of the mountain of silver that came from Potosi Bolivia, silver investors seem to forget that the motherlode of all silver mines was found there. Bolivia is “Silver Elephant” country. DT
FFA………………..
the Ker should get Bobby M back on the show…. JMO
Bobby has a lot of wisdom from the past, which can be applied right now,,, which is needed at this time….
Great history on some of these projects and countries to invest in or stay away from….
We’ve asked him a few times OOTB, but he had a disagreement with Big Al that left a bad taste in his mouth. I’ll try again sometime in the near future though, as I have a lot of respect for Bob M.
Thanks Ex……… . for the follow up….
Is This “Silver Squeeze” For Real?
Maybe. It’s very different from the last one
