Joel Elconin – Market Volatility: Earnings Update, Trump Tweets, Tariff Chaos, Small Cap Struggles
Joel Elconin, co-host of the PreMarket Prep show and founder of the Stock Trader Network, returns to analyze the latest surge in market volatility and the increasing role politics is playing in market direction.
We explore how former President Trump’s offhand comments continue to spark major market swings – boosting or crushing stocks based on a single tweet. Joel discusses the impact of these politically charged moves on tech giants, small caps, healthcare, and even retail names like American Eagle Outfitters.
Key topics include:
- Market manipulation via Trump tweets – from chip tariffs to pharma crackdowns
- Healthcare sector selloff despite earnings beats (Eli Lilly, UNH)
- IWM vs. QQQ divergence and what it says about small caps
- Earnings season reactions – why guidance still matters and who’s crushing expectations (Palantir, Shopify, Celsius)
- Gold and silver’s breakout – is it a new uptrend or topping pattern?
We wrap with his outlook on where markets head into Friday.

HL had a better day than CDE and take a look at that 13+% gap…
https://schrts.co/hEzWdVgI
Matthew – Do you have a target price for HL. It is now my largest position so thinking about trimming some..
Charles, any selling you do should be for rebalancing purposes (or to sleep at night) in my opinion because the upside from right here is still massive. Weekly, monthly and quarterly, HL is just getting started. In fact, even the daily chart is nothing but bullish and still has plenty of room left cyclically. In a bull market, it is risky to trade the short term, i.e., selling with the intention to buy the shares back.
Short term volatility is always a risk and HL might (just might) see some selling as it approaches $8.50 but I’d consider any decent pullback from there (or here) a strong buy. It finally took out last year’s high today (by one penny so far) which is hardly a reason to sell considering its financial shape now compared to last year or any time in the last several years for that matter. Today’s new high was also a new 4 year high and the action over those 4 years has been sideways, albeit in a broad range. So we’re now looking at unleashing the power built up during that long consolidation. Smart money knows it and the rest do not which is why we’ve seen huge volume this year. Those who “just can’t take it anymore” have been giving their positions to those who know what the big picture is saying.
Fwiw, the P&F price price objective is 13.50 but I sure won’t be selling any significant amount at that level unless I have some other reason to.

USA government criminality possible.
Economic Treason, if so!
Ex is looking forward to Beaver Creek, I wish they would change that name I just can’t get it out of my mind! Show me your Beaver Creek tattoos! LOL! DT 🤣🤣🤣
Anyone else watching GSVR roll over?
DC: What do you think is happening?
I just saw this financing release… death nail for today.
Technically I shouldn’t have released that as there is a restriction on it in the US.
100 years in the electric chair await! 😉
I guess they should have put it on a hidden part of the website then, 😁
CHILL OUT! If you live in Canada and go to the beer store on a hot day where the temperature is kept at a constant 60 degrees fahrenheit it really helps to cool your core down. DT 🤣
Alrighty then… I don’t own any but have been waiting to get in, maybe today, maybe not.
Huge PP with 1/2 warrant. Is IPT next?
All the money flooding into CDE and HL.
Is Hydrograph a thousand dollar stock, maybe the next Nvidia?????? LOL! DT 😍🤣😊
Looks like my accounts got to the top of the new channel that some chip created.
Engulfing green candle on the half hour Silver chart.
Ramp Metals really took a hit recently. That shows you just how dangerous these exploration stocks can be. DT
The hidden beauty of a stock like Hydrograph is you don’t have to worry about a drill bit, building an expensive mill, or geopolitical concerns or hiring a huge workforce to operate a mine. (not to mention maintenance of moving machinery.) The list goes on and on…………………….! It has patent protection! DT

Continuing to ride high above 72¢.
Strong considering no news!
When they come out with news and they are in discussions with over 60 companies HydroGraph will HydroPlane! You don’t want to wait until then if you are considering getting in! DT 👍
Pure Graphene has so many excellent properties it is more conductive than copper and as such should find itself useful in the production of solar panels which currently use a lot of silver because silver is also more conductive than copper. I wonder what the ratio is between graphene and silver. DT
Must make every penny count, every single day.
Great one to document though, on the way.
May buy some later, if they all wait.
The life of me. What a sight!
Here is the answer, this will surprise you. Pure graphene is a better electrical conductor than silver. While silver is a highly conductive metal, graphene’s unique atomic structure and electronic properties allow it to conduct electricity even more efficiently.
Here’s why:
Graphene’s Structure:
Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a honeycomb lattice. This structure allows electrons to move freely and rapidly through the material, resulting in high conductivity.
Silver’s Structure:
Silver, while also a good conductor, has a more traditional metallic structure with electrons bound to individual atoms. This can create some resistance to electron flow.
Resistivity:
Graphene has a very low resistivity, which is a measure of how strongly a material opposes the flow of electric current. Specifically, graphene has a resistivity of 1 x 10^-8 Ωm, according to IUPAC. This is lower than silver’s resistivity.
Practical Considerations:
While graphene is theoretically a better conductor, silver is more commonly used in practical applications due to its ease of production and handling.
HydroGraph has the ability to replace silver in solar panels. Another reason I like this stock. DT 👍🤣😍
Pure Graphene is stronger than steel, lighter than aluminum, thinner than paper, harder than a diamond, and more conductive than silver. WOW! DT
