Also stay tuned for tomorrow as I intend to get everything finished and posted here on the KE Report for my Sunday afternoon “Week In Review” (part 5 of this series).

Wishing the good folks here at the KER crew prosperous trading in the year to come!

Yes Marc, agreed on the advantages and staggered cyclicality of the multi-commodity deposits like this one at Beta Hunt. The better technical and fundamental picture for gold in the medium-term, will boost Karora’s margins into those higher prices as we move forward into 2024 and 2025.

Then down the road, in the longer-term, nickel will make it’s move again. The economic growth engine will heat back up following the upcoming contraction in the economy, but that will then boost those nickel co-credits as they really hit their stride a couple of years. The slated increases to nickel production at Beta Hunt in the next couple years, should synchronistically time out well with when nickel prices really start running higher with the rest of the base metals in the next leg of the commodity supercycle.

Ev’s are like golf carts there will always be a small number around, but they will not become a replacement for internal combustion engines, at least not with the technology that is now present. If you want a car to go to the grocery store buy an EV. DT

      Jan 07, 2024 07:32 AM

Ev’s are glorified grocery store buggies! LOL! DT 😉🤣👍

I don’t think any of us alive can tell what sort of a World we will be facing in twenty or even ten years. We are the first species that has been able to engineer our own demise. We can’t evolve fast enough to adapt to the technology we have created. I will leave it at that. DT 😉

Yes….. Electric cars are an OLD STORY…. sheeple need to wake up….

      Jan 07, 2024 07:48 AM

Our government has mandated that all cars sold in Canada by 2035 will be electric vehicles, this is a pipe dream, it is not going to happen. I have worked in the electrical field for 45 years many of them as an electrical contractor, the problems and costs are insurmountable to make this a reality even by 2050 long before that there will be technological breakthroughs that will make electric cars obsolete. The World should be focusing on the 1 billion people in the third world who don’t already have access to electrical power. DT

    Jan 07, 2024 07:50 AM

Marc the stop sign. You are wasting electricity. Stop it!

I watched part of the game last night where The Steelers beat The Ravens. I like American football. My team is the Bills, they play the Dolphins tonight. This is where the rubber meets the road for them. DT

A listener just sent this video over, and I found it interesting with regards to younger generations of Chinese starting to get busy stacking real money via “gold beans.”

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________

‘Gold beans’ go viral among Chinese youth, have you purchased them?

    DotDotNews

“Chinese younger generations have recently developed an appetite for yellow metal: gold products. Unlike previous generations who craved golden items in a larger size, such as bullion, these young consumers particularly endorse “gold beans (gold products that have a small weight or size).” The relatively affordable price has attracted young people wanting to cash in on these small pieces of gold, with many finding it acceptable to spare a couple of hundred Yuan from their salary to buy one gold bean per month.”

“Younger generations enjoy discussing their experiences of saving gold on social media platforms to inspire one another. There are blogs about saving for “gold beans” across the Internet, such as “the best ways to buy gold” and “how to get your first bottle of gold beans.”

“Data from TianYanCha, an APP that gives information to social organizations internationally, shows that there are over 75,000 jewelry-related enterprises in China, with 38.5% of them having been established in the last five years. Over 70% of gold shop clients are between the ages of 25 and 35, according to the 2021 China Gold Consumption Insight. Social media and e-commerce platforms play a crucial role in marketing, making e-commerce an essential channel for young people to purchase gold.”

Daughter is going back to China for New Years. I’ll ask her to check out those beans, bring some back if possible

Since bottoming 3 months ago the HUI has had two 18% rallies that were both followed by 11% declines but the last rally fell short of 17% and the current decline has only reached 9% so far. In order to reach 3 month uptrend support this week the HUI would have to fall almost 5%. The “wall of worry” has been strong.

The message I have gotten from the numerous opinions I have been hearing is that there is no consensus on where the economy is headed during 2024 but the debt situation is not curable. The Fed either destroys the dollar or saves the markets. Most believe destroying the dollar is best for the overextended banking system. So Gold should have a good year and the people will be under stress. Those that have been allowed to transfer wealth to themselves should continue to do so.

I am concerned I will have to buy a new car that does not make noise. I have 3 cars that run on premium gas. The newest one is 20 years old and I have not had a payment for many years. My car tags are cheap and insurance at the lowest levels. It is hard to find parts, but so far so good (Corvette, GTO and a SSR). Although an electric car is faster in most cases, they do not generally have standard shifts or a throbbing tone on the interstate. I don’t know about where the world is going.

      Jan 08, 2024 08:12 AM

My cousin had a brand new GTO in 1968. It was the hottest car in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan at that time.

    Jan 08, 2024 08:11 AM

    2004 6 speed

    Jan 08, 2024 08:13 AM

Only my wife gets a new car. I have never bought myself one as I prefer cars that aren’t practical, but fun.

      Jan 08, 2024 08:01 AM

Nothing wrong with that……. You only live once……

    Jan 08, 2024 08:28 AM

Hey Lake,….. what year is the vette..?

      Jan 08, 2024 08:28 AM

‘97. I have also “had” a 58 and 65 and sold too early. They prepared me for the miners.

        Jan 08, 2024 08:35 AM

        Good one…
I have a 07 with 4000 miles on it… red, 6spd…. I think it is more like phyz gold.. lol

          Jan 08, 2024 08:06 AM

07 6 speed with 4000mi. Wow. I have been able to keep my mileage on the 97 under 3000 a year but it is getting to be 27 years old. But … other than general maintenance (oil, battery, water pump, tires) no repairs until an a/c compressor this last summer. Still rides like new and kept in garage.

            Jan 08, 2024 08:28 AM

I had a 75,… years ago, but, never really got the chance to enjoy it… I bought the wrong color… hated the color, copper…

            Jan 08, 2024 08:44 AM

75 was one of those years where the “paint job” was maybe more important than the engine. I think our parents “Buick” could give it a good race. There was a guy up my street that used to drive by in a “lime green” that had to be about a 75. Copper may have been preferred. YOur 2007 has to be around 400hp which is probably double the 75. I think you are in a much better position to have fun now and it can transport your phys quicker.

            Jan 08, 2024 08:55 AM

ditto 400 hp…….. and much more fun…. and I like the color red.. 🙂

            Jan 08, 2024 08:49 PM

My SSR is Red also. 2005 LS2, 395 hp auto. (Vette black, GTO Dark Purple)
