We hope you all enjoy. Please share our segments through your podcast player (search “The KE Report”), YouTube and through email. And keep emailing us your questions and comments for all of our guests.

It is painfully obvious that a commercial real estate collapse has begun. the investment arm of The Canadian Pension Plan sold a 20 story Manhattan commercial building for $1 just two days ago. The buyer had to assume the debt, this is the third real estate deal they have unloaded this year for the same terms. The CPP has been a big buyer of commercial properties but now they want out. I wonder how they view physical gold. LOL! DT

Hi OOTB. Cory is out of pocket this weekend as he and his wife just welcomed into the world a new baby boy.

Please excuse his absence on posting the political section this weekend, as he is very busy with family, and likely won’t see your post here until later.

I’m getting ready to head out of the house right now, but I’ll see if I can figure out how to post something in that area later tonight for commenters on politics to have an updated page.

Thanks for your patience as this is a bit of a different week for us both.

          Mar 02, 2024 02:34 PM

THANKS EX……………. You are the MAN…… appreciate the comment …… OOTB

            Thank you OOTB.

There should now be a new Weekend Politics page posted awaiting fresh insights. 🙂

            Indeed Ebolan…. maybe a few orphans too…

Here’s little Orphan Annie for example, singing about the “hard knock life.”

Gold buying surges as US national debt rises $1 Trillion every 100 days and with uncertainty everywhere. The rich are building bunkers and buying gold. DT

I’m glad Goldfinger is back discussing silver I thought he had given up on it. DT

        Mar 02, 2024 02:30 PM

Like he said in our recent interview together, Goldfinger doesn’t hate silver, he just isn’t as compelled by it as he is with gold and copper.

Traditionally, if the gold stocks are going to move up higher, then the silver stocks are going to smoke them to upside, so we’ll if that plays out again in this next bull cycle.

Another article on Cartier Silver by Jay Currie. Bolivia is about the most mining friendly country in The World. Silver mining here dates back to the 1600’s, this is elephant country (Potosi) for silver. DT

Here is another article where Bob Moriarty and Goldfinger discuss Cartier Silver, it is dated June 16th, 2023, and Goldfinger was buying Cartier for 46 cents and now it is selling for 31.5 cents. Apparently, Cartier Silver owns 2.21 million shares of Eloro Resources, same team same management, shares are tightly held. Cartier is Bob M’s second largest holding. DT

Here’s my latest Substack rant for those that like investing in growth-oriented gold producers. This is going to be a 2-part series where this one is more on investing psychology and trading strategy for value investing, and gets into i-80 Gold Corp. The second part will touch on Karora, Calibre, Equinox, and 5th company, so stay tuned…

There is a real dilemma out there, if The Federal Reserve, with prices continuing to rise, continues to raise the rate still further, they not only run the risk of bringing about a terrific smash in the market but also of appearing to do so deliberately. DT

The electric vehicle revolution is dead. I saw it from day one, but a lot of investors thought that because the government had mandated its existence that it would happen. The infrastructure build-out and the need for raw materials of all kinds makes it a pipedream that will never happen. Just the copper components that go into the cars and the need to supply power to them from an electrical source to the charging station is utter nonsense. It doesn’t make sense and you can’t mandate stuff that has no reason or logic, only a fool would think otherwise. DT

Between China, India, Aussie coal, there is a enough to give EV’s life.

        Mar 03, 2024 03:57 AM

The Norwegian illusion, Ev’s are an idea dreamed up by bureaucrats that has no basis in reality. DT

        Mar 03, 2024 03:30 AM

China had 91 companies manufacturing electric cars two years ago now more than half are bankrupt but China can still flood the world with cheap EV’s but there won’t be the capacity to plug them in. China needs capital so expect to see their cars sitting idle at western ports because buying is one thing but affording to run them and drive a limited range will see them rusting on the docks. It’s just like their housing market where ghost cities of derelict buildings sit waiting for a buyer. Central planning has never worked, what the consumer wants, needs, and can afford is the only true driver of markets. DT

      Mar 03, 2024 03:42 PM

EV not dead, if Biden gets elected in November I’m and the Democrats will have four more years to start EV revolution again and will pour millions of our tax dollars as incentives and car maker bailouts.

Gold put in record daily and weekly closes on Friday while also breaking out from a momentum perspective.

I had a good exchange with my buddy Christopher Aaron on Friday when gold put in the new daily and weekly closing high on the charts (closing at $2095.70).

He was very encouraged by this close on a technical basis and rightly so. He also pointed out that on spot gold it also was a new daily/weekly close (I want to say $2083 on spot), which he outlined as quite significant for those tracking the physical metals.

We are going to get his technical thoughts on what he thinks this close last Friday means on a technical basis this Tuesday afternoon here on the KE Report.

Ex, because there is a lot of muted posters on this board that don’t want to discuss this breakout in precious metals and particularly silver, I think we should both be crowned as the original and the only silver BUGS, Gold Bugs, and to a lesser degree platinum BUGS. I have to add Jerry in with the platinum Bugs! LOL! DT

        Mar 04, 2024 04:58 AM

Haha! Good one DT. Well, there are a big number of silver bugs and gold bugs and platinum bugs that have been in the sector for decades before I ever became interested. Personally, I collected coins for decades, but mostly for the historic interest, and not as a PM enthusiast.

My wakeup on the financial side was really the 2008-2009 Great Financial Crisis, when I was in the thick of doing family financial planning, insurance, and banking and saw the precarious nature of the financial system through a different lens. So in that sense, I got interested pretty recently in relative terms (only 15+ years ago in the PMs, and I didn’t start really trading the mining stocks in gold, silver, base metals, uranium, lithium until 2010).

We have listeners that write in to me that have been investing in gold and silver for 5-6 decades, and there were people in ancient cultures that were also gold bugs and silver bugs, so in that sense we all stand upon the shoulders of the trailblazers that came before us.

I’d say my hat tip domestically, would go to those gold bugs that saw the writing on the wall back in 1971 when Nixon took us off the gold standard and convertibility of dollars for gold. There were people that saw that happen and knew immediately that the yellow metal had a long way to rise from $35 at the time.

          Mar 04, 2024 04:05 AM

To your point though DT. I am surprised there weren’t more people excited on this weekend show forum about the very strong daily/weekly close on Friday and the really nice pops we saw in a number of stocks to close up last week.

Gold is up above $2100 today and off to a good start this week, but there is hardly any enthusiasm out there regarding this move from retail investors. Maybe they’re all busy at PDAC, or maybe they quit watching the sector and don’t even realize we’re seeing a breakout. Who knows?

            Mar 04, 2024 04:19 PM

Canada will have to start buying physical Gold because The Western World must, and I repeat must go back to a gold standard. Only now when the failure of increasing The M2 supply becomes obvious to the point of humiliation will our government start seeing the light, they won’t be able to lapse into temporary silence and hope the problem goes away. DT

I owned some South African miners following Nixon stopping backing the US Currency with gold. However, Nixon and Watergate blew out the markets without warning including South African miners. It is always something.

Glad you brought it up. 5 straight days in the green, 300% increase in green stocks. Two doubles, and more than a 5 figure profit for less than a week. Hanging out with Bill Gates and thanking him and the Amazon gang for getting on the right side of their trades. Not silent … just buying and selling . On a break right now. Ever Upward
