Weekend Show – Matt Geiger & Dan Steffens – Metals Mania: What’s Real, What’s Next – Plus Oil & Gas Opportunities
This weekend’s KE Report show dives deep into two key corners of the commodities market. In the first half, Matt Geiger breaks down precious metals sentiment post-Beaver Creek and where copper could be the next big mover. In the second half, Dan Steffens highlights why select oil and gas names remain undervalued despite a flat pricing environment.
- Segment 1 & 2 – Managing Partner Matt Geiger of MJG Capital joins to discuss Beaver Creek’s upbeat sentiment and why he sees precious metals in the “middle innings,” expecting near-term consolidation in gold/silver while turning bullish on copper given supply disruptions and an extreme copper-to-gold disconnect. He also weighs in on the Elemental Altus–EMX royalty merger and Tether’s role, majors like Centerra taking stakes in juniors, and his playbook of favoring early-stage copper names, taking profits into hype, raising cash, and redeploying into high-quality pullbacks.

- Segment 3 & 4 – Dan Steffens, president of the Energy Prospectus Group, argues that even with range-bound oil and gas prices, geopolitical risks and the IEA’s shifting outlook keep supply tight. He highlights company-specific catalysts – Crescent Energy’s merger and hedges, Diamondback’s gas-to-power/AI plans (and Viper Energy), Devon’s buybacks, and dividend-rich Northern Oil & Gas – while favoring natural-gas-weighted names ahead of rising LNG demand, a possible La Niña winter, and increased year-end M&A.

Did anybody here listen to me when i kept saying buy silver ?
Nobody cares! Nobody cares! LOL! DT
Nobody cares and that’s the most bullish sign there is. There will be no top until the herd is convinced that silver can’t fall. Right now, most are very worried about a big pullback and many are selling.
+1, So True Matthew! DT
5 Reasons to buy HydroGraph Clean Power – DT
Silver looks better than the senior golds at least short term and probably for months.

The Bills are playing The Patriots at 1:pm. today. The Bills have won their first three games. This could be the year they take it all. American football is the best sport bar none. DT 👍
They play the Saints. Worst team in the league
The sport lacks some key features compared to hocley. I would also put cricket ahead of football.
A major bank has declared that Miami has the highest real estate bubble risk in the World. I see real estate bubbles everywhere. Speculative fortunes in real estate are made after the bubbles crash, if you have liquidity.
Exactly 100 hundred years ago (1925) from today Miami was at the center of a huge Florida Real Estate Boom. Hysteria and rhetoric filled the speculative fever and then along came a massive Hurricane that wiped out everything in the aftermath. LOL! Is this coincidence or is history repeating itself a Real Estate boom that goes bust can be taken out in Miami by a financial Hurricane or a weather related event. This is like the 1920’s all over again. DT

They made a movie about it in 1929, “The Coconuts,” one of the early “talkies.” As Groucho commented on the exterior finish options available on the houses he was selling: “You can even get stucco. Boy, can you get stucko!”
LOL! You know that Groucho was wiped out in the Crash of 1929. Groucho detested gambling but he put his entire life savings in the market. “It’s a racket! Those stock market guys are crooked.” Al Capone DT
Other than saying Wall Street was full of Sociopaths, I think Jim Sinclair said that it may take the failure of Wall Street corruption to let precious metals take off. Hmmmmm….
I could never understand the allure of Florida, for me it is so humid that I find it unbearable. Boy, can you get “stucko”. Good one Rufus. DT 🤣🤣🤣
